China-Linked Hackers Use AI Agents in Microsoft Cloud Attacks
Microsoft reported that a China-state-aligned group known as Storm-0940 used the autonomous AI penetration-testing framework ARTEX to target hundreds of organizations. The group exploited trusted software providers and gained privileged access to corporate cloud systems in less than three hours. Attacks hit aerospace, defense, automotive, energy, financial services, government, military, semiconductors, and technology sectors. Between Oct. 10 and 14, Microsoft recorded more than 151,000 failed login attempts targeting 327 accounts across eight organizations, peaking at about 2,900 attempts per minute. After compromising ConnectWise, the group attempted to access more than 2,250 customer cloud environments using stolen application credentials. Microsoft said no successful logins occurred in the observed password-spraying operation.

States Flag Thousands of Ineligible Voters With Few Prosecutions
Ohio charged three noncitizens with voting a year after 167 federal referrals of noncitizens who appeared to cast ballots. Secretary of State Frank LaRose said his office referred more than 1,000 election fraud cases from even-numbered years to the Justice Department and removed about 1,300 ineligible voters. “It’s difficult to get county prosecutors to prosecute voter fraud cases. They become prosecutors to go after murderers and rapists,” LaRose said. Iowa found 277 confirmed noncitizens registered, with 35 ballots counted in 2024. Texas referred 117 cases for investigation. North Carolina charged 10 noncitizens. DHS said it identified more than 24,000 potential noncitizens on rolls via SAVE since April 2025 and referred them for investigation.
Editor’s Note: Unless “investigations” turn into “prosecutions and convictions,” our election will continue to be manipulated at the local levels.
Democrats Eye Ousting Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth After Midterms
House Democrats plan to make removing Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth a priority if they win the majority in next week’s midterm election. US Rep. Jason Crow (D-CO) called Hegseth incompetent and said ousting him would be his top priority. Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY) said at an Oct. 12 rally that “one of the first things we are going to do in the majority” is “run Pete Hegseth out of town.” Democrats introduced impeachment articles in April over Iran strikes and Caribbean boat operations. Congress has never removed a Cabinet official.

Trump Calls Alaska Ranked Choice Voting Corrupt in Attack on Murkowski
President Donald Trump denounced Alaska’s ranked-choice voting as corrupt, saying it alone allowed Sen. Lisa Murkowski (R-AK) to win reelection. He directed the Department of Justice to sue next week if voter confusion from two candidates named Sullivan affected results. “The Republicans’ Worst Senator, by far, Lisa Murkowski... who only got elected because of Corrupt Ranked Choice Voting, is upset because I revealed what everyone knows, that the Ranked Choice Voting Ballot is a TOTAL DEMOCRAT SCAM meant to confuse the Voter,” Trump posted. He added Murkowski is “a DISGRACE to Alaska and our Country.” Alaska uses a top-four primary with ranking up to four candidates. Alaskans vote this year on a measure to repeal the system.
Fake Polling Firm Admits Fabricated Data Favoring Democrats as Experimental Project
A polling firm admitted using made-up data two weeks before the midterms to portray the deep-red Mississippi Senate race as a toss-up. Wedgewood Polling gave Democrats multipoint leads in battleground races, including Texas, Michigan, Georgia, Maine, Ohio, and Kansas, starting in June. The firm claimed the numbers tested whether aggregators would research firms before posting results. “These are suppression polls trying to support their favored Democrat candidates and trying to suppress money, volunteers and donors on GOP campaigns,” pollster Jim McLaughlin said. Federal Communications Commission Chairman Brendan Carr warned networks airing the data risked violating news distortion rules and jeopardizing licenses. Nate Silver banned the polls from his site after noting they skewed about one point more favorable to Democrats.
Republican AG Candidate Vows Antisemitism Emergency in New York City
Saritha Komatireddy, the Republican candidate for New York attorney general, vowed to declare a state of emergency on antisemitism in New York City on day one if elected. She spoke from the site of a syringe attack on a young rabbi in the Diamond District. “Every Jewish New Yorker is feeling the rise of hate in our city and in our state,” she said. Jewish New Yorkers, about 10-12% of the city’s population, have faced more than 50% of confirmed hate crimes this year, according to NYPD data. She is challenging Democratic incumbent Letitia James.

Four Top Indiana ACLU Attorneys Resign Over Incoming Director
Four of five principal attorneys at the ACLU of Indiana submitted resignations amid allegations against incoming executive director Nikkita Oliver. The departing lawyers are legal director Ken Falk, deputy legal director Gavin Rose, senior staff attorney Stevie Pactor, and staff attorney Josh Bleisch. Staff complaints alleged Oliver questioned the objectivity of Jewish attorneys and planned to turn Indiana “light red.” Oliver denied the claims. The board is standing by her and launched an outside review. Oliver has a history of anti-Israel statements, including after the Oct. 7 attacks.
Democrats Try to Blame Billionaire GOP Conspiracy for Affordability Crisis
Democrats are closing out competitive Senate races by blaming a billionaire-GOP conspiracy for America’s affordability crisis. In their telling, the affordability crisis is really a corruption crisis driven by the influence of the filthy rich. Candidates link high costs for groceries, gas, and housing to political corruption and big-money influence. Research shows tying corruption to economic pain boosts Democratic support by about 3 points. Candidates like Sen. Jon Ossoff (D-GA) and James Talarico have adopted the message.
Editor’s Note: It’s actually Leftist policies that have caused fuel prices to spike due to a lack of refineries. And housing affordability? Talk to the fine people at Berkshire Hathaway who went on a drunken house-buying spree during Obama and Biden. I don’t believe Mr. Buffett donated to many Republicans.
AOC Campaign Spends Nearly $50,000 on Luxury Hotels
Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s (D-NY) re-election campaign has spent nearly $50,000 on luxury and upscale hotel stays nationwide since April, according to Federal Election Commission filings. The roughly 45 charges total about $47,000 and cover her team's cross-country push to boost Democratic candidates ahead of the 2026 midterms. Highlights include $5,044 at The Memphian in Memphis, $1,599 and $2,694 at the Candler Hotel in Atlanta, and $2,274 at The Talbott in Chicago. The campaign also spent on limos and car services. It has raised over $37 million this year and holds nearly $18 million. Critics called the spending a gap between rhetoric and reality.
Far-Left Progressive Podcaster Calls for Pistols Firing Toward Vance
Jennifer Welch, the caustic host of the “I’ve Had It” podcast, urged listeners to “keep firing, pistols firing at all times towards” Vice President J.D. Vance. She called him unfit to be a father, husband, or vice president, and labeled him a “failed drag queen,” an “antichrist-style sociopath,” and a “pathological liar to his core.” Welch claimed Vance married Usha Vance during his “woke era” but now sees his family as a liability for 2028. Elizabeth Pipko, a former RNC spokeswoman, said the language “raises serious questions about whether a threat has been made.”
Editor’s Note: I’m sure Welch has a “coexist” bumper sticker on your electric car.
Troy Jackson Campaign Mailer Lists Woman From Nonexistent Maine Town
A mailer from Democratic U.S. Senate candidate Troy Jackson’s campaign in Maine features a woman listed as “Kate from Norwich.” There is no town of Norwich in Maine. The closest similar names are Northport, Northfield, and Norridgewock. Norwich exists in Connecticut, roughly 200 miles away. Jackson, a former Maine Senate president, is challenging Republican Sen. Susan Collins (R-ME). The error drew attention on social media.
ON THIS DAY IN 1962:
U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Adlai Stevenson directly confronted Soviet diplomat Valerian Zorin at the UN Security Council. Demanding a clear "yes or no" answer on missile sites in Cuba, Stevenson famously proclaimed he was prepared to wait for his answer "until hell freezes over" before revealing decisive photographic evidence.

Iran Steps Up Plots to Kill US Diplomats in Middle East
Iran has substantially increased attempts to kill American diplomats and officials in the Middle East, US intelligence found. An unclassified memo from Director of National Intelligence Jay Clayton to Secretary of State Marco Rubio warned that some lethal plotting efforts had reached advanced stages. The intelligence prompted the US to withdraw non-essential staff and families from its Riyadh embassy and reduce staffing at embassies in Jordan, Lebanon, Qatar, and the United Arab Emirates. Officials said the threat was at its highest level since the US launched a war on Iran on Feb. 28. Clayton offered to downgrade intelligence so more personnel could be warned.
British Columbia Conservatives Win First Election Since 1928
British Columbians gave the Conservatives their first provincial election victory since 1928 on Saturday, ending nine years of New Democratic rule. The right-leaning Conservatives won 64 of 93 seats, while the New Democrats took 27. Conservative leader Lorne Doerkson, set to become premier, pledged to double natural gas production by 2032 and more than triple it by 2035. “We will cut red tape like it’s never been cut before,” he said in his victory speech. David Eby resigned as NDP leader after calling a snap election that backfired. Polls showed voters focused on cost of living and healthcare.

Brazilians voted Sunday in a presidential runoff between leftist incumbent Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva and Sen. Flavio Bolsonaro, son of imprisoned former President Jair Bolsonaro and an ally of U.S. President Donald Trump. Bolsonaro led the first round by more than 2.2 million votes, taking 47% to Lula’s 45%, but neither reached a majority. More than 33 million of nearly 160 million registered voters stayed home. Bolsonaro said, “The time of real change has arrived.” Lula thanked supporters, saying, “What people did to me in recent days is something I cannot repay.” Polls closed at 5 p.m. local time.
Unverified Video Shows Haitian Gangs Clashing with Salvadoran Special Forces
Unverified footage circulating online appears to show intense confrontations between Haitian gangs and Salvadoran special forces in Haiti. The images surfaced after El Salvador’s President Nayib Bukele announced a military operation to rescue four Salvadoran aviation technicians kidnapped following a gang ambush. Reports said 100 special forces operators had been deployed, with more expected. Bukele wrote on X, addressing the gangs in Creole, “We have already finished with the gangs in El Salvador, and we can finish with you too.” The rescue effort comes as gangs expand control beyond the capital.
Musk Accuses Ukraine of Violating Starlink Terms for Drone Strikes
Elon Musk stated that Ukraine violated Starlink terms of service by using the civilian system for offensive drone strikes to kill people. “Using Starlink, a civilian commercial service, for offensive drone strikes to kill people has never been allowed, nor should it be,” he said. The loophole was closed last week. Ukraine said Starlink and Starshield speeds were restored after restrictions. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy had blamed the US and SpaceX for the limits, warning of losses. Musk noted Starlink remains critical to Ukraine’s defense.
