The heads of four U.S. intelligence agencies—the Office of the Director of National Intelligence, the National Security Agency, the Central Intelligence Agency, and the Department of Homeland Security—approved a White House fact sheet supporting elements of President Trump’s assertion that China targeted American voter registration data, constituting election interference. The document states China obtained information on as many as 220 million voters, some of it nonpublic. Officials noted that targeting voter data falls under the intelligence community’s definition of election interference. The fact sheet was released July 30.

Trump suggested renominating Blanche after the two Republicans leave office next year. The senators have delayed a Judiciary Committee vote while seeking written assurances about a Justice Department settlement involving an anti-weaponization fund and tax audit provisions. Blanche currently serves as acting attorney general.
Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services To End Medicare Drug Plan Premium Subsidies
The Trump administration announced it will end a temporary subsidy program that helped limit premiums for Medicare Part D prescription drug plans after 2026. The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services said insurers now have sufficient experience under redesigned rules to price plans without the taxpayer support. CMS Administrator Mehmet Oz stated most beneficiaries would see increases of less than $10, with some premiums falling. The program, created under the prior administration, cost billions annually.
Wisconsin Judge Upholds Rule Barring Absentee Ballot Revotes
A Dane County judge rejected a lawsuit by Democrat voters seeking to allow those who already returned absentee ballots to spoil them and cast new ones after candidates withdrew from the gubernatorial primary. Judge David Conway ruled that state law does not permit spoiling a returned absentee ballot. The decision upholds recent guidance from the Wisconsin Elections Commission. The primary is scheduled for Aug. 11.
Defense Company Deploys Drones To Schools For Active Shooter Response
Mithril Defense is equipping schools in Florida, Georgia and Colorado with non-lethal Campus Guardian Angel drones designed to respond to active shooters. The drones can reach speeds of 50 mph indoors, carry pepper spray, strobe lights and sirens, and are operated remotely from Texas. Officials aim for the devices to confront threats within 15 seconds while law enforcement responds. Pilot programs in the three states are set to begin with the new academic year, funded in part by state allocations.
