The Neo-Bolsheviks Float ‘Re-Education Camps' Yet Again
The far-Left is notorious for telegraphing their deeds and misdeeds – their nefarious actions and desires – onto their opponents. They have been misleading the American public about their undertakings and true intentions since the Wilson administration. That deception continues today.
As we get nearer to the November General Elections, the neo-Bolshevik Left in the United States is ramping up its rhetoric about how much of a tyrant and threat to democracy Donald Trump would be if, in fact, he wins back the presidency. These accusations are quite astounding since the American people have existed under the yoke of one of the most despotic administrations since Wilson in the reign of the Biden administration, better and more accurately referred to as Obama 2.0.
The Neo-Bolsheviks
A neo-Bolshevik, by the by, is an individual who promotes or supports a modern iteration of Bolshevik-style policies and ideologies. The term is derived from the Bolsheviks, a radical socialist political party that led the October Revolution in Russia in 1917, resulting in the establishment of the Soviet Union.
Neo-Bolsheviks often advocate for a highly centralized government, state control of the economy, and the redistribution of wealth. They may support policies such as the nationalization of industries, heavy taxation, and strict regulation of private enterprise.
Many of the far-Left neofascists now in control of the Democrat Party – these neo-Bolsheviks – falsely demagogue about how Trump's perceived disregard for “democratic norms” and institutions will lead to further erosion of the democratic process, resulting in the institution of a totalitarian and authoritarian government. They fail to mention or admit that their idea of “democratic norms” aligns more with the Marxism of Mao, Stalin, and Guevara than with Jefferson, Adams, and Madison.
The Neo-Bolshevik False Narrative
Recently, US Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has gone so far as to suggest Trump will jail those who oppose his political ideology. In an interview on a Leftist podcast, Ocasio-Cortez said, "I mean, it sounds nuts, but I wouldn’t be surprised if this guy threw me in jail…He’s out of his mind. I mean, he did his whole first campaign around ‘lock her up.’ This is his motto."
As I stated in a previous article:
“The glaring issue with AOC's statement is that no one, not even those evidenced to have committed crimes, was ‘thrown in jail’ or ‘locked up.’ Therefore, it sounds ‘nuts’ because it is. It's a baseless accusation aimed at frightening an ignorant electorate demographic. Yet, devious political operatives – like AOC, James Carville, and Hillary Clinton, to name a scant few – continue to lie to the electorate and for no other reason than to maintain their grip on power.”
And now, some of the neo-Bolsheviks in the Democrat Party are insisting that something is wrong with the way that conservatives, constitutionalists, and Libertarians – anyone who might support the candidacy of Donald Trump (especially given the alternative) think; that they “don’t think correctly.” Some are even re-floating the totalitarian notion of “re-educating” those who don’t conform to their way of thinking.
Democrat Paula Collins, who is challenging House Republican Conference Chairwoman Elise Stefanik (R-NY) for her House seat in New York’s 21st Congressional District, said former President Donald Trump’s supporters may need to be sent to “re-education camps”:
“Even if we were to have a resounding blue wave come through, as many of us would like, putting it all back together again after we’ve gone through this MAGA nightmare and reeducating basically, which, that sounds like a rather, a reeducation camp…I don’t think we really want to call it that [but] I’m sure we can find another way to phrase it.”
Stefanik responded to Collins’s remarks by saying:
“Statements calling for President Trump supporters to be forced into ‘re-education’ camps must be unequivocally and immediately condemned, yet Joe Biden, Hakeem Jeffries, and Chuck Schumer continue to tolerate this unacceptable rhetoric.”
Conservatives have slammed top Democrats for making similar remarks in recent years.
Last October, Hillary Clinton said, “Maybe there needs to be a formal deprogramming of the [Trump] cult members, but something needs to happen.”
In 2021, Washington Post columnist Eugene Robinson said, “There are millions of Americans, almost all white, almost all Republicans, who somehow need to be reprogrammed.”
Robert Reich, a former Secretary of Labor under Bill Clinton, made a statement in 2020 suggesting that some Americans, particularly those who had been misled by false information or propaganda, might need re-education. He argued that this was necessary to ensure their participation in a healthy democratic process.
The Carnage Of The Totalitarian Class
Of course, the notion of re-educating opponents to one’s political ideology is the stuff of the worst tyrants in human history. It has resulted in the murders of tens of millions of innocent people who didn’t “think right.” The combined death toll from various communist revolutions, including the Russian Revolution, the Chinese Revolution, and the Cambodian Revolution, is estimated to be around 100 million people.
For those “lucky” enough to have escaped the mass slaughters brought about by the “right thinkers,” re-education camps were employed, having been used in all of the countries following socialist and communist revolutions.
One of the most infamous examples of the use of re-education camps comes to us in Mao’s China's Cultural Revolution (1966-1976), where millions of Chinese citizens were sent to re-education camps, known as 'Laogai,' for varying periods.
Some of the reasons people could be sent to these camps included having connections to the 'bourgeoisie' or 'capitalist' class, holding dissenting political views or expressing criticism of the government or its policies, being accused of 'counter-revolutionary' activities, which could include anything from speaking out against the government to engaging in activities deemed as “bourgeois,” being a member of a targeted minority group, or holding religious beliefs, as the Chinese government sought to suppress all forms of religion during the Cultural Revolution
It is estimated that 20 million people were imprisoned, and up to 1.5 million lost their lives in these camps.
In the Soviet Union, during the October Revolution of 1917, re-education camps, known as 'Gulags,' were established in the early 20th century and were used to suppress political dissidents and other “enemies of the state.”
Some of the most common reasons included being considered a political dissident and expressing criticism of the government or its policies, being suspected of opposing the regime, being a wealthy landowner, business owner, or those associated with the bourgeoisie or capitalist class, those perceived to be disloyalty to the Soviet state, or being classified as a criminal.
It is estimated that between 1.5 to 3 million people died in Soviet Gulags.
In Cambodia, under the Khmer Rouge regime (1975-1979), people were sent to re-education camps for a variety of reasons, including having connections to the 'bourgeoisie' or 'capitalist' class, holding dissenting political views, or expressing criticism of the government or its policies, being accused of 'counter-revolutionary' activities, which could include anything from speaking out against the government to engaging in activities deemed as “bourgeois,” being a member of a targeted minority group, such as the Chams or the Vietnamese, or holding religious beliefs, as the Khmer Rouge regime sought to suppress all forms of religion during its rule.
Re-education camps in these contexts aimed to suppress dissent and enforce ideological conformity. And resulted in approximately 1.5 million to 2 million people being killed.
So, any educated person familiar with the history of the barbarity of the “right thinkers” understands that whenever the idea of “re-educating” or “re-programing” is instituted, imprisonment and mass slaughter follow close behind.
Why Neo-Bolshevism Is Antithetical To Americanism
The Founders and Framers, such as Thomas Jefferson, James Madison, and Benjamin Franklin, valued – inalienably – the people's rights to hold their own political opinions and ideological and philosophical beliefs.
Firstly, they were deeply influenced by the Enlightenment, a philosophical movement that emphasized reason, individualism, and freedom of thought. Enlightenment thinkers, such as John Locke, believed that individuals had inherent rights, including the right to think, express, and pursue their own beliefs. The American Founders and Framers adopted and incorporated these ideas into their political thought. Today, those inherent rights are being encroached upon.
Secondly, the Founders and Framers were well aware of the abuses of power that occurred under colonial rule and in the mother country, England. They sought to create a system of government that would protect individual rights and prevent tyranny. By placing a high value on people's rights to hold their own political opinions, they aimed to ensure that no single group or individual could monopolize power and suppress dissenting voices. Today, we are teetering perilously close to the suppression of dissenting voices.
Thirdly, they believed that a diverse range of political opinions would lead to a more robust and effective government. By allowing people to express their thoughts and beliefs freely, the Founders and Framers hoped to encourage open debate and constructive dialogue. This, in turn, would foster a more informed and engaged citizenry capable of making well-informed decisions and holding their elected representatives accountable.
Finally, the Founders and Framers recognized that political opinions are often shaped by individual experiences, perspectives, and values. They understood that people's opinions would evolve over time as they encountered new information and ideas. By protecting the right to hold and express one's political opinions, they sought to create a dynamic and adaptable political system that could respond to the changing needs and aspirations of the American people. Today, the totalitarians of the political far-Left deem to decide how you are supposed to think rather than allowing you to evolve your thoughts from your experiences.
So, the American Founders and Framers placed a high value on people's rights to hold their own political opinions because they believed in the principles of individual freedom and autonomy, sought to prevent abuses of power, aimed to foster open debate and constructive dialogue, and recognized the importance of a dynamic and adaptable political system.
The Water’s Boiling
The frog and the boiling pot analogy is a metaphor that illustrates how humans, like frogs, may not recognize or react to gradual changes in their environment, changes that ultimately lead to a dangerous or detrimental situation.
The story goes that if you place a frog in a pot of boiling water, it will immediately jump out to save itself. However, if you place the frog in a pot of cold water and slowly raise the temperature, the frog will not notice the gradual change and will eventually be boiled to death.
This analogy is often used to describe how people can become desensitized to negative changes in their surroundings, whether in politics, social issues, or personal relationships. By gradually adapting to these changes, individuals most often fail to recognize the severity of the situation until it's too late to take action.
The lesson to be drawn from this analogy is the importance of vigilance and awareness in recognizing and addressing potential threats or negative developments in one's environment.
Today, the ill effects of unrecognized neo-Bolshevism in our nation – especially and specifically within the ranks of our elected class and our government’s manufactured bureaucracy – are palpable to those who have remained vigilant and aware.
Sadly, too many of the American people stepped into the pot while the water was cold. My fellow Americans, the water is boiling.
