Do Nothing Democrats Turn To Unsubstantiated Smear
The economy is in shambles, conflicts are escalating in several regions, and the American public struggles to make ends meet. It is clear that the Biden administration and congressional Democrats have achieved little during their time in power. Some people even find it hard to identify a single accomplishment that has truly benefited the American people rather than Democrat political benefactors and special interest groups.
So, what do the neo-fascists of the far-Left and their toadies in the mainstream media complex do since their preferred political slate has no accomplishments to run on? They turn to their Alinsky-Bernays-Lippman propaganda playbook to launch a campaign of smear and slander against their opponents.
Alexandria “Oh , I Can’t Believe She Said That” Cortez
On a recent far-Left podcast, the only bartender to bring nothing to the table, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY), preyed on the emotions of the listeners in saying she's worried former President Trump, should he win, would throw her in jail.
Ocasio-Cortez told podcast host Kara Swisher, "I mean, it sounds nuts, but I wouldn’t be surprised if this guy threw me in jail…He’s out of his mind. I mean, he did his whole first campaign around ‘lock her up.’ This is his motto."
The glaring issue with AOC's statement is that no one, not even those evidenced to have committed crimes, was "thrown in jail" or "locked up." Therefore, it sounds "nuts" because it is. It's a baseless accusation aimed at frightening an ignorant electorate demographic. Yet, devious political operatives – like AOC, James Carville, and Hillary Clinton, to name a scant few – continue to lie to the electorate and for no other reason than to maintain their grip on power.
Ocasio-Cortez continued her word vomit by saying:
"I take him at his word when he says that he’s going to round up people. I take him at his word when he threatens journalists. I take him at his word…I feel like what we saw in his first presidency was an amuse-bouche to what his intentions are. He has learned from his mistakes of appointing professionals, and he will not make that mistake next time."
As an aside, an amuse-bouche is a small savory item of food served as an appetizer before a meal. At least she learned something during her time as a restaurant employee, not that her use of the term doesn’t illustrate how hard she tries to pass herself off as an intellect.
Again, the glaring defect in her declaration is that during the four years of Trump’s first presidential administration, no one was “rounded up.” No journalist faced consequences for their intellectual malfeasance where reporting on him was concerned. Those statements exist as a pure form of fear porn meant to mislead the American people and strengthen the false narrative that Biden and his Democrat bootlicking flunkies are perpetuating: that Dondla Trump is a threat to freedom and democracy.
During a recent interview on FOX News, Trump addressed the notion of retribution and the accusations being made that he would “round up” his ideological opponents Gestapo-style:
"[T]hey're wrong…It has to stop, because otherwise, we're not going to have a country."
But AOC wasn’t done with her unsubstantiated propaganda disgorgement:
"It is unequivocal that if Donald Trump wins, we are looking at the potential dissolution of democracy in the United States of America, and the question about what would happen to me or the Democrat Party is a joke compared to the question of what is going to happen to our country."
Someone needs to take the thesaurus away from her before she hurts herself.
Juxtaposition
If honesty is to prevail, we should compare Trump’s four years in office to Biden’s term. We would need to juxtapose their records on the economy, homeownership, taxation, the Doomsday Clock, and where the United States ranks on the freedom index.
The Economy
During the Trump presidency, the US economy experienced steady growth, with an average annual GDP growth rate of 2.5%. The unemployment rate reached a record low of 3.5% in 2019. Trump's administration implemented tax cuts and deregulation policies, which were aimed at boosting economic growth and creating jobs. In contrast, during the Biden presidency, the economy experienced a sharp recession in 2020, with GDP contracting by 3.5%. Biden then implemented a spendthrift stimulus package, which exploded the country's national debt. The unemployment rate leveled off at 4.6% in 2022 but most of the jobs created under Biden’s tenure have been low-paying service industry jobs.
Homeownership
During the Trump presidency, homeownership rates in the United States increased, reaching a peak of 65.1% in 2020. This growth was driven by a strong economy and low interest rates, which made it more affordable for Americans to purchase homes. In contrast, the Biden presidency has seen a decrease in homeownership rates. This decline has been attributed to a combination of factors, including rising home prices, inflation, and increasing interest rates, making it more difficult for Americans to afford homeownership.
Taxation
During the Biden presidency, a more progressive tax policy was pursued, focusing on increasing taxes for both high-income earners and corporations. Biden's administration pursued an increase in the corporate tax rate and implemented a global minimum tax on multinational corporations. Additionally, Biden has proposed increasing taxes on individuals in the median tax bracket and expanding the estate tax. In contrast, the Trump presidency saw the implementation of significant tax cuts through the Tax Cuts & Jobs Act of 2017. This legislation reduced individual and corporate tax rates, lowering taxes for many Americans and businesses.
Doomsday Clock
As of January 19, 2024, the Doomsday Clock stands at 90 seconds to midnight, which is the closest it has ever been to global catastrophe. This setting reflects the escalating war in Ukraine, the Biden administration’s mishandling of relations with Communist China, and the rising dangers of nuclear weapons proliferation.
Freedom
The Freedom in the World 2021 report by Freedom House assessed the United States as “Free” with a score of 83 out of 100. This evaluation considers political rights, civil liberties, and other factors. While the US benefits from a robust political system and strong rule-of-law tradition, recent years have seen an erosion in democratic institutions due to partisan pressure, bias in the criminal justice system, and disparities in wealth and political influence. Additionally, the Index of Economic Freedom ranked the US as the 25th freest economy globally, with a score of 70.1 in 2024, marking a decline in economic freedom over time.
The Roar Of A Collective Yawn
AOC said she understands the lack of excitement around the Biden campaign. "I think when it comes to presidential elections, and especially to young people, I understand the lack of support for President Biden. And I think the demoralization around the president has caused folks to sometimes tune out on down-ballot candidates…”
But, her contention that “demoralization” surrounds Mr. Biden and his Obama 2.0 team misidentifies the problem. Or perhaps it is wishful thinking. The lack of excitement centers on the inarguable fact that Biden and the Democrats have failed to serve the American people in any meaningful way, instead tolling out largess from the treasury to political cronies while doing the bidding of the global elites, all at the expense of opportunity and prosperity for the American people.
The American electorate is waking up to the fact that the far-Left neofascists of the Obama and Biden administrations have done nothing to protect or serve the American people, and they are becoming angrier and angrier as they wake.
The good news for AOC is that when Trump wins in November, the economy will recover enough for her to get her bartending gig back.
