The Fight Against Wokeism Should Be A Bipartisan Effort
Sixty-five percent of Americans don’t believe biological males should be allowed to compete in women’s sports. That constitutes a supermajority in any political sphere. So, why should anyone – anyone – anywhere, at any time feel pressured not to speak on how they feel about the matter?
It’s because the woke movement has quietly worked its way through the ranks of corporate America and especially corporate American media and they are forcing the spotlight onto a demographic that comprises less than one percent of the population around the world.
As I wrote recently in a piece titled, Today, Little Johnny Identifies As A Baseball Bat:
According to the Diagnostic & Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, Fifth Edition, the diagnosed instances of gender dysphoria (or as Wikipedia also alludes to it, “gender identity disorder”) accounts for just 0.005–0.014 percent of the world’s population for biological males and 0.002–0.003 percent for biological females.
(Note: The entirety of the LGBTQ+ community constitutes just 7.2 percent of the population of the United States.)
So, if the affected group is so small a number compared to the whole of the world’s population, why the manipulation of the masses to make everyone believe it’s a more significant issue?
The Roots Of Wokeism Come From Another Time & Place
Where many on both the Right and the Left want desperately to believe that wokeism is a product of American and Western enlightenment – with approximately 60 percent of Democrats saying being woke is a “good thing”, the movement’s genesis is parked squarely in the anarchism that facilitated Marxism.
As Ginsburg-Milstein fellow AJ Caschetta, a principal lecturer at the Rochester Institute of Technology, wrote for The American Spectator:
“...the political metaphor of sleeping and waking was at the core of the pre-revolutionary Russian propaganda disseminated by the self-described terrorist group, Narodnaya Volya (People’s Will). The origins of what many now call the ‘Great Awokening’ can be plainly seen in the ideas of a handful of thinkers who developed and directed what historian David C. Rapoport calls the first wave of modern terrorism: the Anarchist wave.
“The parallels between early European socialism (1840-1880) and today are numerous. Dissatisfied with capitalism, agitators sought to convince the people to rise up and overthrow governments and the privileged classes who supported them. But they were frustrated with their inability to persuade the masses who were unaware of their oppression. The agitators were ambivalent towards the masses, recognizing that they needed ‘the people’ for their revolution but also hating them for not having already joined the revolution of their own volition. John Most, the German anarchist exiled to France, then England, then America, described them as ‘swells and other fat-faced philistines…happy in this stage of unfreedom as pigs in muck.’
“People needed to be convinced that their lives were miserable, and too many of them, the anarchists believed, were blissfully unaware of their plight. So the metaphor was born: the people are sleeping fools in need of an awakening.
“This is the same metaphor at the heart of wokeism…”
Everything Old Is New Again
Indeed, Caschetta couldn’t be more correct in citing the obvious parallels between the activists of the initial anarchist wave of fledgling Marxists into the West and the opportunistic malcontents of today.
Consider these turn of the 19th Century points held by the early European socialist movement circa 1840-1880, as denoted by Caschetta:
The anarchists believed that people would wake up and listen if they were shown that the morality of their system was corrupt; that they had been victimized
Since traditional propaganda had failed, they came up with “propaganda by deed,” (read: “direct action”) and the deeds were, by necessity, violent
Anarchists formed “vanguard groups,” designed to lead by example and wake the people from their sleep
Each of these common points can be found in the movements of both the anarchists of the late 1800s and the more contemporary crop of opportunistic malcontents executing their 20th- and 21st-century brand of anarchism; anarchism that champions the fundamental transformation of the United States of America from a Constitutional Republic to a country kneeling to Democratic Socialism and then full-blown Marxism.
In the 1960s and 1970s, this violent revolutionary anarchistic style was exhibited by Marxist-based groups like Students for a Democratic Society, The Weather Underground, the Black Panthers, the Symbionese Liberation Army, and the Earth Liberation Front. Each of these organizations executed violent acts on society in an effort to attack the establishment and to awaken the people to the “immorality” of their government and culture, and their “victimhood”.
Today, we see the exact same tactics being employed by people of like mind to achieve the same goals. Marxism-based groups like Black Lives Matter, Antifa, the John Brown Gun Club, Black Bloc, the Youth Liberation Front, and Jane’s Revenge, among others, advance the false narrative of systemic racism and societal victimhood in an attempt to fracture the entirety of our society while demonizing our culture and government; while condemning the US Constitution and the Bill of Rights.
According to the executive summary of an article titled, Far-Left Extremist Groups in the United States, published by the Counter Extremist Project:
“The far-Left encompasses multiple ideologies, but security experts believe that a large percentage of far-Left radicals subscribe to at least one of three main classifications: anarchism, communism/socialism/Marxism, and autonomous radicals. Far-left groups have largely embraced social justice as a raison d’être in protest of perceived restrictions on liberty by the state. In the early and mid-20th century, the Communist Party USA (CPUSA) played a subversive role in promoting communism in the United States and aligned itself with the Soviet Union. Today, CPUSA promotes its dedication to human rights and personal liberties alongside communism, which it heralds as the only guarantor of those freedoms…”
The Dividers Masquerade As Uniters
During both his keynote speech at the 2004 Democrat National Convention and his nomination acceptance speech at the 2008 Democrat National Convention, Barack Obama floated rhetoric of unity; alluding to the idea that he, as president, would be a uniter.
In 2004 he said:
“The pundits, the pundits like to slice and dice our country into red states and blue States: red states for Republicans, blue States for Democrats. But I’ve got news for them, too. We worship an awesome God in the blue states, and we don’t like federal agents poking around our libraries in the red states…”
(I choose to ignore the subject of federal agents eclipsing their authority in Red states because we now know that under the Obama administration, some of the most egregious abuses of power using the DoJ, FBI, and the federal intelligence community took place against Republicans.)
And in 2008, Obama said:
“Tonight, I say to the American people, to Democrats and Republicans and Independents across this great land – enough…The challenges we face require tough choices, and Democrats, as well as Republicans, will need to cast off the worn-out ideas and politics of the past…"
In President Biden’s victory speech in 2020, he all but proclaimed his dedication to uniting the country, saying:
“[I want] to be a president who seeks not to divide, but to unify. To make progress, we have to stop treating our opponents as our enemies. They are not our enemies. They are Americans.
“This is the time to heal in America…I understand your disappointment tonight. I’ve lost a couple of times myself. But now let’s give each other a chance.
“It’s time to put away the harsh rhetoric, lower the temperature, see each other again…I’ll work as hard for those who didn’t vote for me as those who did. Let this grim era of demonization in America begin to end here and now.”
Yet, both Obama and Biden spoke with Janus faces, proclaiming their devotion to unity while implementing policies and issuing rhetoric whose only purpose was to polarize society while agitating transformative change, transformative change that Obama gleefully declared was the mission at the outset when he said:
“We are just five days away, from fundamentally transforming the United States of America.”
To that end, we should all re-examine Mr. Obama’s ideological roots (he does have long-standing relationships with radicals that vomit hatred toward the United States and the West) and Mr. Biden’s unholy symbiosis with the Communist Chinese.
This Is An Attack On All & We Must All Respond
Recently, ESPN reporter Samantha Ponder was accused of “bigotry” after posting a tweet opposing the intrusion of biological male participation in women’s athletics. One media “colleague”, USA Today columnist Nancy Armour, wrote, “Don’t be fooled by the people who screech about ‘fairness’ to cloak their bigotry toward transgender girls and women. This is, and always was, about hate, fear, and ignorance.”
I suspect if a transgender man was given Armour’s job under the guise of affirmative action for females she would have a different opinion, but I digress.
As I noted at the beginning of the article, over 65 percent of Americans – a supermajority – believe as Ponder does. Our culture; our society, believes that a man “identifying” (read: masquerading; pretending) as a woman holds an unfair advantage in a physical match-up.
Additionally, a new Washington Post-KFF poll revealed that:
66% of American adults do not believe that biological males should be allowed to compete in women’s sports competitions at the high school level
62% of American adults did not believe biological males should be allowed to compete against biological girls
57% of American adults believe gender is based on the sex "assigned" at birth
77% of American adults believe it is inappropriate for teachers to discuss their transgender identities with students in kindergarten to third grade
And this point must be reiterated. Just one percent of the world’s population is legitimately diagnosed with gender dysphoria, this is according to studies based on peer-reviewed articles from around the world that pulled from statistics cited in the Journal of Sexual Medicine, the International Journal of Transgenderism, the International Review of Psychiatry, and the European Professional Association of Transgender Health.
So, again I ask you, why the heavy emphasis on transgenderism by the Biden administration and the fascistically aligned media and private-sector corporations of America?
It’s All About The Wokeism
Wokeism’s goal is to inspire a revolutionary awakening by blurring reality, creating victimhood, and subjecting those who hold common values respective to the Judeo-Christian values employed to create our nation – the freest nation on the face of the planet and throughout the history of man – to moral relativism that espouses “individual truths”.
What better example of executing an action to blur reality and foment chaos than championing a false narrative that men can be women and women can be men; that men can lactate and give birth and women can produce sperm? And what better way to confuse and victimize our youth than for the mainstream anarchist-supporting media to lend legitimacy to the charade?
The “individual truths” the Marxist anarchists want to advance apply societal pressure to the level of chaos, chaos fomented by applying pressure in the way radical Marxist and Obama adviser Van Jones described as “top-down, bottom-up, inside-out”.
American society has either fallen prey to narcissistic self-absorption that depletes the clock each day so our obligation to governmental oversight is unattainable (think: the fall of Rome), fails to recognize today’s anarchists as anarchists, or has fallen for the incredibly false notion that the Marxists; the anarchists are positive forces for “change”.
Those Marxist anarchists who see their role as advancing the false hope of the woke revolution are targeting our children through the education system, confident in their understanding that education is where their battle will be won or lost. They recognize that the earlier they can begin instilling hatred of the country and hatred of traditional American values into our children the more success they will achieve.
By subverting any semblance of traditional morality, falsely depicting the United States as systemically racist, portraying law and order as wicked, and fomenting violence against anyone who doesn’t identify with their destructive creed and violent measures identifying them as being not part of their movement, today’s woke are demonstrating their destructive, Marxist anarchist roots.
This understood, wokeism and the poison it hawks is not a Democrat thing and it is not a thing that conservatives, Republicans, and Libertarians have to fight alone. It is a movement targeting all Americans: Left, Center, and Right. Wokeism seeks to kill freedom by disenfranchising us from our voices and incrementally destroying our rights, rights guaranteed by the Constitution and the Bill of Rights.
And as long as we exist terrified to speak the truth, afraid to push back, frightened to take a stand that forces the woke to exist in a position of constant defense, we are doomed. To a more focused point, as Caschetta wrote, “As long as the woke control the schoolboards, own the teachers’ unions, and thoroughly dominate higher education, the ‘unwoke’ will be playing catch up in a contest I fear is lost.”
Stand with me as an American, regardless of your political leanings. Push back and do so without fear.
We can win this battle, together. But it’s time to be awake…not woke.
