The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services said the standard monthly premium for Medicare Part B will rise roughly 14.5 percent, the largest increase ever in terms of dollars and among the largest percentage increases in recent years. Part of that reason for the increase is a shady deal between a company called Biogen and the FDA surrounding a dubious $56,000 Alzheimer’s drug that 10en of 11 independent advisory committee members voted against because data didn't indicate the drug is effective...
