Before we get into this week's segment on Talkback with Chuck Wilder – our last segment with Chuck Wilder on that program (he is retiring at the end of the month), I wanted to acknowledge his incredible career.
He's been a radio pioneer; somebody who was behind the mic during the golden days of radio – both as a disc jockey (a DJ) and as a producer and then as a host of his show.
He produced for George Putnam, the legendary radio talk show host out of the West Coast, for many years until Mr. Putnam's passing, and then the torch was passed to Chuck.
He's done an incredible job and it's been a privilege to have been a reoccurring guest; a regular guest on his show for the past 18 years. That he would keep coming back to have conversations with me about what I believed to be important, my writings, things in the news, was a true honor. It was a privilege to be part of his career, especially at the end.
So, enjoy your retirement Mister Wilder! Our conversations will be missed.
Now, our last segment on Talkback with Chuck Wilder…
