Trump Admin To Carry Out Largest Mass Visa Revocation In American History
The Trump administration is preparing to revoke B-1 and B-2 visas held by as many as 200,000 foreigners who entered the United States as temporary visitors and later applied for asylum. The State Department and the Department of Homeland Security plan to carry out the revocations on a rolling basis. Officials say the measure targets those who used short-term business or tourist visas as a path to permanent stays. The action, if carried out at that scale, would be the largest mass visa revocation in U.S. history. Trump Admin Proposes 100k H-1B Fee To Offset Immigration Enforcement Costs
The Trump administration proposed a new $103,265 fee on H-1B visa petitions for skilled foreign workers. Air Force Officer Who Called For Impeachment While In Uniform Gets Hit With Criminal Charges

Lame Duck US Rep. Al Green Introduces Fifth Trump Impeachment Article
Rep. Al Green, the Texas Democrat redistricted out of his House seat after losing a primary in May and previously removed from the chamber during President Trump’s State of the Union address for disruptive outbursts, introduced another article of impeachment against the president on Monday. The resolution accuses Trump of turning immigration enforcement agencies into unaccountable forces and cites recent shooting deaths involving Department of Homeland Security officials. Green has filed previous impeachment resolutions against Trump that did not advance. The House previously tabled several of his efforts. Republicans control both chambers, making passage unlikely.

Mamdanis Grocery Store Plan Lands NYC In Major Court Battle

It points to apparent links involving the Muslim Association of Canada and coordinated electoral efforts such as a Vote Palestine campaign. The association rejected the findings as biased and unsubstantiated. The report calls for greater scrutiny of such networks by the Canadian government.
El Sayed Tries To Limit Damage From His Association With Hasan Piker
Michigan Democrat Senate nominee Abdul El-Sayed issued a statement Monday seeking to distance his campaign from Twitch streamer Hasan Piker after Piker’s recent comments about American Jews and Israel. El-Sayed said no one speaks for his campaign except himself and his spokespeople and reiterated his commitment to Jewish safety. Piker had suggested that American Jews who strongly support Israel risk inviting violence. The two previously campaigned together during the primary. Communist Chinese Regime Says Iran Cooperation Should Not Be Disrupted
China’s foreign ministry said on Tuesday that its cooperation with Iran is conducted within international law and should not be interrupted. Spokesperson Lin Jian made the remarks after the United States announced new sanctions targeting entities linked to Iranian oil and technology networks, including some in China and Hong Kong. Lin called the U.S. measures illegal and said China would take steps to protect its interests. China remains Iran’s largest oil customer. The comments came ahead of a planned visit by Chinese leader Xi Jinping to Washington.

Lockerbie Bombing Trial Postponed Again Over New Evidence
A U.S. federal judge postponed the trial of a Libyan man accused of building the bomb that destroyed Pan Am Flight 103 over Lockerbie, Scotland, in 1988. Jury selection for Abu Agila Mohammad Mas’ud Kheir Al-Marimi had been set to begin this week. The judge cited newly discovered evidence that defense attorneys need time to examine. The case involves the bombing that killed 270 people. A status hearing is scheduled for early September.

Russia Allows State To Take Over Infrastructure Vulnerable To Damage From Drone Attacks
Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree allowing the state to temporarily take over critical infrastructure if private owners fail to protect it adequately against drone attacks. The measure covers fuel and energy facilities, industrial sites, communications, logistics, and other assets deemed vital to national security and economic stability. Officials said the step responds to increasing threats during the war with Ukraine and is not intended as nationalization. Ukraine has intensified long-range drone strikes on Russian oil refineries and other infrastructure.

80 Percent Of North African Asylum Seekers In Switzerland Accused Of Crimes
An internal Swiss State Secretariat for Migration document shows that more than 80 percent of North African asylum seekers from Maghreb countries were accused of at least one criminal offense during their asylum process or after a negative decision in 2024. The rate is far higher than the 12.3 percent figure for asylum seekers from all other countries. About 99 percent of asylum claims from these nationalities are rejected. Swiss authorities have introduced accelerated procedures and plan further measures to address the issue.
Sweden Slams Door On Citizenship: 96 Percent Of July Cases Not Approved
Sweden granted only 98 citizenships in July, out of 2,825 cases decided, the first full month under the new, stricter rules. The approvals represent about 3.5 percent of the decided cases. Most of those granted were from other Nordic countries. New requirements that took effect in June include an eight-year residency period for most applicants, economic self-sufficiency, stronger conduct standards, and knowledge of Swedish society. A large backlog of more than 100,000 cases remains pending.
