Piker Admits Role in Francesca Hongâs Wisconsin Primary Loss
Silver-spoon-in-the-ass Islamo-communist podcaster Hasan Piker said Wednesday that serving as Francesca Hongâs biggest campaign surrogate helped cost her the Wisconsin Democratic gubernatorial primary. Piker responded to criticism calling him a âdeath trapâ for candidates by writing that he should never be the face of a campaign. Hong, a Democratic socialist state representative who led in polls, lost narrowly to Milwaukee County Executive David Crowley. Piker had campaigned with Hong in the final days and helped knock on doors. He still described her second-place finish as progress for the socialist left. Crowley will face Republican Rep. Tom Tiffany in November.

Feds Bust Massive Chinese Fraud Ring That Arranged 1,000 Bogus Marriages
Federal prosecutors charged 11 people Wednesday in one of the largest marriage fraud schemes in U.S. history. The decade-long ring orchestrated more than 1,000 sham marriages primarily for Chinese nationals seeking green cards. Clients paid up to $100,000 per arrangement while American participants received as much as $30,000. The network fabricated wedding photos, opened joint accounts and coached clients on immigration interviews. Attorney General Todd Blanche said the scheme earned tens of millions of dollars and undermined the integrity of the immigration system. The indictment was unsealed in New York.

US Inflation Eases to 3.4 Percent in July as Energy Prices Cool
The Labor Department reported Wednesday that the Consumer Price Index rose 3.4 percent year over year in July, down from 3.5 percent in June. Prices increased 0.1 percent on a monthly basis. Core inflation, excluding food and energy, slowed to 2.5 percent annually from 2.6 percent. Energy prices fell 1.5 percent for the month, led by a 2.9 percent drop in gasoline, though energy remained up 14.7 percent from a year earlier. Shelter costs accounted for much of the monthly gain.
Clergy, Doctors Sue Illinois Over Assisted Suicide Law
A group of Catholic physicians, a Roman Catholic bishop and a Lutheran nursing facility filed a federal lawsuit against Illinois challenging the stateâs End-of-Life Options for Terminally Ill Patients Act. The law, signed by Gov. JB Pritzker and set to take effect Sept. 12, allows terminally ill patients to obtain medication to end their lives. Plaintiffs argue they cannot in good conscience comply with requirements to inform patients of the benefits of assisted suicide or refer them to willing providers. The suit claims the mandates violate First and Fourteenth Amendment protections for free speech and free exercise of religion. They seek a temporary restraining order and permanent injunction blocking enforcement.
Authorities Arrest Ex-Southern Poverty Law Center CFO on Fraud Charges
Authorities in California arrested Heidi Beirich, a former Southern Poverty Law Center chief financial officer and intelligence director, on federal fraud charges. The indictment alleges she oversaw payments of donor money to informants inside white supremacist groups and shared a bank account with one informant with whom she had a romantic relationship. Prosecutors say about $140,000 in SPLC funds went into their joint accounts. The charges form part of a broader Justice Department case accusing the SPLC of wire fraud, false statements to banks and money laundering through fictitious entities. Beirich is expected to appear in court in Riverside, California.

David Crowley Narrowly Defeats Socialist Francesca Hong in Wisconsin Democrat Primary
Milwaukee County Executive David Crowley narrowly defeated Democratic Socialist state Rep. Francesca Hong in Wisconsinâs Democrat gubernatorial primary on Tuesday. Crowley led by more than 3,200 votes out of more than 787,000 ballots cast, a margin of about 0.41 percentage points. Hong, a member of the Democratic Socialists of America who had led in late polls, conceded the race. Crowley, backed by outgoing Gov. Tony Evers, will face Republican Rep. Tom Tiffany in the November general election and seeks to become the stateâs first Black governor.

Group Called Republicans for Talarico Exposed as a Scam
A group of women presented as Republican moms supporting Democrat James Talarico in the Texas Senate race has been exposed as inauthentic. Records show at least some of the women voted in Democrat primaries and donated through ActBlue to Democrat candidates and anti-Trump groups. The women appeared in an MS NOW segment that Talaricoâs campaign amplified. An RNC spokesman called the effort a rebrand of prior Democrat crossover campaigns filled with lifelong Democrat donors. Talaricoâs campaign is distancing itself from the group. RNC Chair Joe Gruters described any Republican coalition for Talarico as a pipe dream.

Michigan Senate Nominee El-Sayed Scrubbed Videos Criticizing Fireworks and Second Amendment
Michigan Democrat Senate nominee Abdul El-Sayed removed multiple YouTube videos in which he argued that Fourth of July fireworks âsuckâ and suggested replacing the Second Amendment with a constitutional right to health care. In a July 2024 video, El-Sayed cited air quality, chemicals, PTSD risks for veterans, and dangers to children and pets as reasons to find another way to celebrate the holiday. In an April 2023 video following a school shooting, he asked what if the Constitution were amended to swap the right to bear arms for a right to health care. His campaign said the old comments do not reflect his current views and noted he celebrates the Fourth of July with fireworks and respects the Second Amendment while supporting measures to keep guns from criminals.
Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Ends Medicaid Funding for Child Sex Change Procedures
The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services finalized a rule ending federal Medicaid and Childrenâs Health Insurance Program funding for sex-change procedures on minors, including cross-sex hormones, puberty blockers and surgeries. HHS Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and CMS Administrator Mehmet Oz said the interventions lack reliable evidence of benefit and carry risks of irreversible harm such as infertility and impaired bone density. Mental health treatment for gender dysphoria remains covered. A six-month taper period applies for children already on hormone therapy. The rule takes effect in October.
Washington Schools Chief Defends DSA Agenda Brands MAGA Fascist
Washington Superintendent of Public Instruction Chris Reykdal posted on Facebook defending the Democratic Socialists of America while describing the MAGA movement as fascist. Reykdal argued DSA seeks affordable housing, a fair tax code and accessible education, and claimed its activists resemble traditional Democrats from earlier decades. The DSAâs 2026 platform calls for abolishing the Senate, replacing the president and Supreme Court with bodies subordinate to Congress, public ownership of major industries, abolishing police and prisons, ending ICE and granting amnesty to all immigrants. Reykdalâs office said the remarks were personal and declined further comment.
