The Fascist Scheme of Federally Centralized Government
The word has been so misused over time that its meaning has been turned on its head. Fascism is not a product of right-wing ideology. It is – and there is no disputing this if you are being honest – a political philosophy more intricately aligned with communism, socialism, and more despotic forms of government.
This acknowledged, in the Biden administration and through the Progressive-wing of the Democrat Party, our government here in the United States is actively being attacked with a fascist hand.
Websters Dictionary defines fascism as:
a political philosophy, movement, or regime (such as that of the Fascisti) that exalts nation and often race above the individual and that stands for a centralized autocratic government headed by a dictatorial leader, severe economic and social regimentation, and forcible suppression of opposition;
a tendency toward or actual exercise of strong autocratic or dictatorial control
By virtue of Webster’s still agendaless definition, it is easy to see that the United States federal government has been successfully transformed from its originally intended form – consisting of three branches of co-equal, check-and-balance government – into a centralized, Executive Branch-heavy bureaucracy that rules by regulation, completely devoid of effective representative government.
Several critically acclaimed intellectuals – including Thomas Sowell, Dinesh D’Souza, and Stanley Payne and dating as far back as F.A. Hayek, have recognized this and have been sounding the alarm about the Progressive’s “nudging” of our system of government to fascism, but with a bought-and-paid-for mainstream and social media complex at their beck-and-call, sounding the alarm faces significant challenges.
Today, the Progressives’ efforts are more easily seen than in the past. Nevertheless, the Biden administration and the far-Left of the Democrat Party fully satisfy the criteria that culminate in the truth that they are fascist in nature:
Race: Converse to the fascism initially employed by Adolf Hitler, instead of questing for a “master race,” the Progressives have succeeded in making race the control issue in their division of the American people. Every race but the overwhelming majority White race is aggrandized as Caucasians are demonized for all the ills of the world.
Dictatorial Leadership: In the abuse of both Executive Orders and bureaucratic direction, the Executive Branch has all but marginalized our Legislative Branch to a role of being reactionary and even then the fascist-Progressives manipulate pure representative government to the Executives benefit by procedure, political faction, and litigation. This occurs regardless of which party is in power and validates President Washington’s contempt for political parties.
Severe Economic Regimentation: The bureaucracy has the ability to manipulate personal wealth through the Federal Reserve and the Securities & Exchange Commission (non-governmentally controlled), and a globally sycophantic Treasury Department, including the weaponized Internal Revenue Service (directly controlled by the government). An example of just how power-hungry the fascists of the federal government have become is evidenced in their quest to control decentralized cryptocurrencies.
Social Regimentation & Forcible Suppression of Opposition: Unelected bureaucrats at the CDC, NIH, and the many Executive branch departments and agencies – including the Departments of Energy and the Interior – openly oppressed and coerced the American people during the COVID and energy crises, even as the mainstream and social media complex executed – and continues to execute – the unconstitutional practice of political censorship.
But the most significant guidepost to the truth that our federal government no longer utilizes its constitutional prescription comes in the fact that government in the United States – but for a scant few maverick states (at that status is transitory from election to election) – is centralized. The power over almost all things in our daily lives is seated in the central planning of a bureaucratic (read: fascist) federal government.
Why This Is Important
John Marshall, the fourth US Supreme Court Chief Justice, wrote in his decision in the case of McCullough vs. Maryland:
“No political dreamer was ever wild enough to think of breaking down the lines which separate the States, and of compounding the American people into one common mass...”
Obviously, Marshall never foresaw the advent of fascism, and even if he had he was never a “dreamer wild enough” to believe the totalitarian political philosophy would be brought to the halls of American government. Yet, here we are.
Through a centralization of government and its employment of a central planning scheme, the gates have been opened to fascism in the United States, and the fascist-Progressives who roam the halls of government cloak it in “common good” rhetoric claiming benevolence when all that is achieved is the ability to subjugate the masses.
As we transverse our daily lives we have all, to some extent, become numb to just how invasive and controlling the federal government – and if you live in states like California, Illinois, or New York, the state governments – has become in our lives. The fact is there is very little that isn’t touched by government regulation, born of central planning, in our contemporary America.
Our income, investments, and now currency use (think the federal government’s moves to regulate and tax cryptocurrency and its use) are all regulated and taxed by the federal government, as is the land we own, the structures we live in, and the vehicles we drive. Most of these regulations – including those that impose fees and fines – are created by the federal and state executive branch bureaucracies.
Our food, energy, clothing, and travel are all ruled by regulations, again, regulations that are crafted and implemented by unelected bureaucrats at the direction of the centralized federal and state governments.
Unlegislated regulations rule our lives. And while one can argue that authority was given to the federal and state executive branches to craft and create each regulation, that argument doesn’t address the fact that in order to provide that authority Congress and state legislatures passed legislation written so generally, so irresponsibly that it invited the fascism of the centralization of government upon us.
A great deal of blame for today’s fascism in America – a political philosophy whose home resides exclusively in the Progressive-wing of the Democrat Party – can be laid at the feet of Woodrow Wilson and Franklin Delano Roosevelt.
Wilson, an accurate reading of history provides, was a hardcore fascist as well as a dedicated racist, who ushered in the concept of Congress crafting weak legislation so that the “experts” of the Executive Branch departments and agencies could flesh out the minutia of government through the regulatory process. Wilson gave birth to what today is the Deep State bureaucracy.
Roosevelt peddled a softer marketing of his fascism, but it was just as much an affront to the American ideal as Wilson’s. One need only to look at FDR’s Executive Orders from the New Deal through World War II to see he ruled via edict and bureaucratic authority. The only president – a Democrat, by the by – to violate Washington’s practice of limiting the presidency to two terms, embedded fascism in his legacy New Deal.
As David Boaz writes for the Cato Institute:
“Roosevelt himself called Mussolini ‘admirable’ and professed that he was ‘deeply impressed by what he has accomplished.’ The admiration was mutual. In a laudatory review of Roosevelt’s 1933 book Looking Forward, Mussolini wrote, ‘Reminiscent of Fascism is the principle that the state no longer leaves the economy to its own devices...Without question, the mood accompanying this sea change resembles that of Fascism.’ The chief Nazi newspaper, Volkischer Beobachter, repeatedly praised ‘Roosevelt’s adoption of National Socialist strains of thought in his economic and social policies’ and ‘the development toward an authoritarian state’ based on the ‘demand that collective good be put before individual self-interest.’”
Boaz continues to say:
“As early as 1912, FDR himself praised the Prussian‐German model: ‘They passed beyond the liberty of the individual to do as he pleased with his own property and found it necessary to check this liberty for the benefit of the freedom of the whole people,’ he said in an address to the People’s Forum of Troy, New York.”
The central planning of fascism, facilitated by the centralization of government, robs every American of the promise of the United States: individualism, freedom, and a representative form of limited government restrained by the Bill of Rights and the Constitution to achieve a true and honest “common good,” not the false promise of socially engineered, centrally planed “common good.”
As the fascist-Left and the Biden administration bar-open the door to the World Economic Forum’s Great Reset – a pathway to the unelected instituting global central planning and, thus death to nation-state sovereignty, we must all be willing to make the sacrifices necessary to protect liberty, our inalienable rights, individualism, and Americanism.
After over a century of intellectual and political sloth, we are now forced to protect freedom with personal sacrifice or we will have arrived at serfdom...again.
“Whether the mask is labeled fascism, democracy, or dictatorship of the proletariat, our great adversary remains the apparatus—the bureaucracy, the police, the military. Not the one facing us across the frontier of the battle lines, which is not so much our enemy as our brothers' enemy, but the one that calls itself our protector and makes us its slaves. No matter what the circumstances, the worst betrayal will always be to subordinate ourselves to this apparatus and to trample underfoot, in its service, all human values in ourselves and in others.”
– Simone Weil
