US Meets with Venezuela in Effort to Cajole the Socialist Nation Away from Russia
A delegation of senior US officials is in Venezuela for meetings with President Nicolas Maduro's government in a bid to peel Caracas away from Russia amid Moscow's invasion of Ukraine. It marks the first high-level sit-down between the two nations since Chavez in 2013. The resource-rich South American nation seems receptive to helping replace Russian oil on the Western market.
Some are wary of this attempt to re-open ties to Venezuela’s socialist government, but we should consider two points: the removal of the Russian influence in a major player in South America and the injection of US influence with that nation. With Maduro on tenuous ground given his miserable stewardship of the Venezuelan economy, there exists a great opportunity to reintroduce Capitalism to the Venezuelan people, a move that could produce political fruit down the road.
Truck-Led Convoy to Circle Capital Beltway in Protest Against COVID Emergency Powers
The People’s Convoy, a large caravan of vehicles led by trucks, will be moving slowly twice around the Beltway Sunday in a protest over the continuation of the Biden administration’s COVID emergency powers. The drivers departed from the Hagerstown Speedway in western Maryland, where it has spent the past two nights. The convoy will travel at the minimum permitted speed, returning to Hagerstown Speedway. The process will repeat in the days to come, increasing the number of laps each day.
The truckers – the people who actually deliver our food and consumable goods to stores – have been pummeled not only by the politicization of COVID, but by Leftist federal policies that punish them via taxation, operation fees, insurance, etc. simply for doing their jobs. The trucking industry – and how it is being bled to death by our government, is but a symptom of how the American government is abusing the people. Tax reform – and by that, I mean scrapping the income tax completely and morphing to with a flat tax or a singular consumption tax that would require a supermajority in Congress to change rates and has zero carve-outs for anyone or any entity – is necessary immediately.
Thousands of Canadians Join Coast-to-Coast ‘Freedom Chain’ to Defend Freedom
Canadians in different parts of the country gathered together at various rallies on March 5 to uphold freedom in an event dubbed the “Freedom Chain.” Participants rendezvoused along the Trans-Canada Highway in an effort to reach across the entirety of the country. The protest is aimed at is calling for unity and for Canadians’ charter rights and freedoms to be upheld; rights and freedoms Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau trampled n Ottawa last month during the Freedom Convoy protests.
We must support those in Canada who are calling out the fascism of their government. The suspension of the protesters’ rights to include the stealing of their money via the freezing of their assets is an affront to freedom, liberty, and private property rights. Trudeau has shown his true face as have the far-Left in the Canadian government. Canadians will not be truly free until they expunge this fascism from their government.
Russian Authorities Detain Large Number of Anti-War Protesters in 21 Cities Across the Country
Russian authorities reportedly detained 559 people in 21 cities, including the port city of Vladivostok and the Siberian city of Irkutskat, during anti-war protests Sunday. Russia's interior ministry warned attempts to hold the unauthorized protests would be stopped. OVD-Info, an independent human rights project focused on political persecution in Russia, reported that Russian authorities have arrested 8,100 people at anti-war protests since Russia invaded Ukraine. The number shot up to more than 13,000 people detained as of Sunday afternoon.
People keep talking about the resolve of the Ukrainian people, and rightly so. They are facing incredible odds for their survival in the face of the despot Putin. But rank-and-file Russians who are braving the iron fist of the Russian government are just as courageous. Taking to the streets when their government has all but reverted to the days of the Soviet gulags takes courage and resolve.
PayPal, Visa, Mastercard Suspend Services in Russia
Companies are withdrawing from Russia in droves, and three of the biggest payments companies, PayPal, Visa, and Mastercard, just joined the group. The three US-based financial giants announced that they’re discontinuing their services for Russia in solidarity with the international community.
And while these payment companies should be applauded for their intentions, a critical eye would have to accept the fact that by ceasing services to the Russian people, the ones really being hurt are the Russian people. The Russian people have about as much sway with Vladimir Putin’s regime as a deer tick. It would be nice if the world leaders who are pretending to give a damn about this would get off their asses and craft sanctions and penalties that exacted pain on the power players in Putin’s sphere instead of the Russian people. Top Belarusian General Quits Over Putin's Invasion of Ukraine
A top Belarusian military leader has quit over Russia's invasion of Ukraine, according to a Ukrainian official who posted the decorated general's purported resignation letter online. Maj. Gen. Viktor Gulevich, the deputy defense minister for the Moscow-aligned nation on Ukraine's northern border, said his soldiers want no part of Russian President Vladimir Putin's war and he is unable to mobilize them for the effort. Belarus questioned whether the letter was real and said the Belarusian military is "100 percent" ready to be deployed wherever it is ordered to go.
If true, the general’s days, sadly, are numbered. He had to have known this going into the decision, that the powers that be would exact a price for his perceived betrayal. In the end – and again, if this is true, Gulevich is a very brave man who understands the consequences of a Putin victory.
Kherson Protest Against Russian Occupiers Brings Multitudes to the Streets
Undaunted by the presence of Russian troops in their city, as many as 2,000 residents of Kherson, Ukraine, took to the streets Saturday in a show of defiance and national unity. "Russians go home!" and "Kherson is Ukraine!" were among the shouted slogans. Kherson, located in southern Ukraine along the Black Sea, fell to the Russians last week, with as many as 300 people killed, many of the bodies rendered unrecognizable because of the power of the Russian weaponry used.
Again, incredibly brave people in an almost impossible circumstance. To be sure, these protesters are facing the same heartless, bloodthirsty despotism that squashed rebellion in Tiananmen Square in Beijing decades back. It should be noted that the reports of how badly the bodies were rendered validates the reports that thermobaric weaponry was deployed by the Russians.
Concerns Rising Over Satellite Hacking Becoming Grounds for War
Concerns are growing over whether space satellite hacking would be grounds for war. Russia’s senior space official Roscosmos Director-General Dmitry Rogozin warned about tampering with its satellites. “I want to warn everyone who tries to do it that it is essentially a crime, which should be toughly punished because disabling the satellite group of any country is generally a casus belli, that is, a reason to go to war.”
While the purposeful targeting of a country’s satellites and satellite systems are, indeed, an act of war – especially in today’s information age (for what it’s worth), it is quite apparent that the Putin regime doesn’t need legitimate “acts of war” to wage war against sovereign nations. That they blatantly violated the Budapest Memorandum on Security Assurances, which guaranteed Ukrainian territorial sovereignty and political independence, proves my point. Putin is lawless and must be held to account.
Russian Case for 'Pre-War Provocation' Debunked; Donbas Propaganda 'Exploited Cadavers, Faked IED Attack'
A flurry of dubious provocations and staged events appear to have been designed to implicate the Ukrainian armed forces to drum up justification for Russian military aggression in the days before the first shots were fired. These included videos showing fake border incursions by the Ukrainian military and footage of purported saboteurs attempting to blow up a chlorine facility at a sewage treatment plant – both of which showed nothing of the sort. An apparent IED attack used by separatist and Russian media as evidence of Ukraine’s aggression included the staged use of cadavers and likely faked IED damage.
These are the same tactics used by the Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank. Both Reuters and the Associated Press were found guilty of facilitating this type of ghoulish propaganda in the early-2000s. Always realize that there is propaganda used in every global, regional, or local conflict. With the rise of social media, this propagandizing has become so much easier to accomplish. But the fabrication of a catalyst to war is a serious matter. That the above report is impeccably documented again validates that Vladimir Putin is a war criminal and a threat to world peace.
Media, Establishment Medical Community Ignoring Long COVID Micro Blood Clot Data
The mainstream media – as well as institutions to include the Mayo Clinic – are ignoring the major medical research that found the physiological basis of long COVID, namely micro blood clots as a leftover consequence of COVID infection, and likely even from COVID vaccines that also introduce spike proteins.
The false narrative of COVID vaccine safety and efficacy just keeps on coming and the continued string of disingenuous propaganda from the government, media, and Big Pharma remains embarrassing. The arrogance of the establishment – both political and narcissistic – has killed tens of thousands of Americans and endangered millions more. Perhaps the most debilitating thing to come out of the COVID event is that its mismanagement not only exposed the power-brokers’ lust for profiteering and control, it decimated the trust of the people where the health agencies are concerned. At this point, discontinuing every aspect of the CDC and HIH but for the laboratories and research is warranted. Neither agency should be allowed to continue in its current form.
