Okay, Maybe a Plantain Republic
It was very public; vert overt. Pro-administration agents swooped in, searched, and detained prominent members of the opposition – politicians and society leaders – on questionable charges of “subversion” in the hope of eliminating competition in the upcoming elections. Of course, I am speaking of Nicaraguan President Daniel Ortega.
I suppose I could excuse your confusing that opening paragraph with the events surrounding the banana-republic-styled raid on former-President Donald Trump’s home in Palm Beach, Florida. After all, it looked a lot like a secret-police operation, ordered by those in power, against a political opponent. The fact that the warrant authorizing the raid is sealed and the FBI agents demanded everyone leave the Mar-A-Lago building only added more banana to the flavor.
Truthfully, it conjured up images of the raid the Department of Justice executed to extract Elián González from freedom in 2000, a raid that sent the then six-year-old boy back to Communist Cuba. That move – like the FBI’s raid on Trump’s home – was incredibly unpopular with an overwhelming majority of the American people.
But Wait A Second...
On Monday, The Epoch Times reported:
“The FBI agents who raided former President Donald Trump’s Florida home were looking for certain records, according to a lawyer for Trump who was on the scene while agents were at the resort.
“‘They’re looking for presidential records, what they deemed to be presidential records, and anything that could potentially be classified,’ attorney Christina Bobb [said].
“‘We had been very cooperative with them before. And it’s unclear to me why they went to such drastic measures to do this. But they did. And as far as the probable cause goes, they wouldn’t give that to us.’”
The Fourth Amendment to the US Constitution states clearly:
“The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.”
So, it appears that because the raiding authorities refused to specifically state which documents they were searching for and because the meat of the warrant is sealed – even to Trump attorneys, Mr. Trump’s constitutional rights were violated.
The Shadowy Puppeteers
Of course, I can’t expect an administration that abusively figureheads a man in cognitive decline as a mouthpiece for a cabal of transitional revolutionaries to give a damn about constitutional limitations. After all, they just lied, bald-faced, to each and every American to pass significant portions of the Green New Deal under the false flag of inflation reduction, even after the total of the Green New Deal was rejected by the American people just a year ago.
It doesn’t take a transgender associate professor of sub-Saharan LGBTQ+ metaverse studies to see that the radical Left in the United States – and by that I mean to say the controlling interest in the Democrat Party – continues to have the long knives out for Donald Trump, otherwise known as the wrench in the bureaucratic Deep State machine. The puppetmasters behind the Biden administration and the Obama 2.0 team (BO2) are hell-bent on not only making sure Trump doesn’t run in 2024 and that he has little influence in the 2022 midterms, they also want to destroy the man to set an example for anyone else who dares to think the federal government exists to serve the people.
(Foolish serfs. The federal government exists to enrich the elite and their globalist cronies. You should have read that in the revised preamble to the progressive “Living Constitution,” you know, the one in which the Commerce Clause actually gives the federal government the power to control every aspect of your life.)
The anointed members of the federal establishment have no use for those who believe the Framers bequeathed us a system of self-governance. They truly believe that they have a right to control who gets to be in their club. This is a byproduct of the globalist mindset; a gaggle of arrogant, unelected elites who believe in their black-heart-of-hearts that they are smarter and better than those who they deem are beneath them.
The Big Backfire
The overreach of the uber-arrogant BO2 team has made it plain to even the most intellectually challenged among the American citizenry that the elites – the federal establishment; the Deep State – literally hate the American people. They have made it clear that they despise the US Constitution and the Bill of Rights because to adhere to them means they don’t make the rules. And to hate the Charters of Freedom is to hate the free American people.
But the grotesque overreach of the BO2 team has also served to galvanize the people against the kind of despotism they are selling.
We have awakened to the despotism of the disingenuous and manipulative edicts that locked down our country and destroyed our economy.
We are aware that they lie to us – blatantly – in order to pass legislation that continuously sucks an increasing amount of money out of our pockets only to be disseminated to their elitist crony colluders.
And we will not stand for the arrogant elite’s attempt to transform our nation into a despotic third-world banana republic complete with secret police, political persecution, and jerry-rigged elections.
Moving Forward
BO2 made a huge mistake in raiding Mar-A-Lago. They have all but guaranteed a record-breaking voter turnout on the Right and in the Center for the midterm elections, even as they embarrass the moderate Left into hiding their party affiliations. No get-out-the-vote campaign the Republicans and Libertarians could have executed would have achieved what the Democrats did in allowing BO2 to run wild in the streets of government. The price will be the loss of power in both chambers of Congress in 2022 and the loss of the White House in 2024.
What we must make sure of going forward into November and then into the 2024 General Election is that We the People refrain from facilitating the manipulative fascist Left with an opportunity to claim January 6th Redux.
We have to be smart.
While their political weaponization comes in the form of jackboots and the ignoring of our constitutional rights, our political weapons reside at the ballot box, in a Convention of States, and in urging our governors to enact nullification of unconstitutional legislation and Executive Branch orders coming out of the establishment bureaucracy and the Deep State.
We can win this. The “Big Mo” is with us. And once the smoke settles, maybe – just maybe – we won’t exist as a banana republic. But we have to be disciplined and focused as we move forward.
