If Only the Biden Administration Was Serious About the Sanctions Against Russia and Clean Fuel
All of the chest-tumping rhetoric about sanctions against Russia’s energy sector appears to be just that: rhetoric. While the European Union waffles on an end date to its dependence on Russian oil, the Biden administration is withholding the key to freeing Europe from that dependence.
Texas Gov. Greg Abbott (R), took to the media to criticize the Biden administration for its Green Energy promoting, slow-walked regulatory policies that are keeping the US fossil fuel industry from alleviating Europe’s energy supply conundrum.
Abbott highlighted the fact that Texas’ abundant supply of natural gas, liquefied and then shipped from Texas ports, could be of immediate help to European allies facing economically devastating energy prices due to sanctions placed on Vladimir Putin’s Russia.
He specifically castigated the Biden administration for purposely slow-walking approval of new natural gas infrastructure to enable more growth. "The only thing that they have done, that hinders the ability for Texas to get energy out – whether it be to the country or the world, is to slow the permitting process on things like LNG [liquefied natural gas]," Abbott told reporters.
Last December, the United States surpassed Qatar and Australia to become the world's leading LNG exporter. The US currently has eight operative LNG export terminals, the majority of which are located on the Gulf Coast. According to the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC), which is responsible for the slow-walking of permits, another 14 out of 20 export projects were approved but are not yet under construction.
The FERC, under the Green Energy advocating Biden administration, has introduced new radical regulations that inject a more severe definition of “environmental impact” to the permitting approval process citing the malleable notion of “public interest” or “common good.”
Total interstate gas pipeline capacity decreased in 2021, thanks to the new restrictive US energy policies. LNG capacity fell to its lowest since 2016, according to the Energy Information Administration.
Why This Is Important
Not too long ago, clean-burning natural gas was championed by the eco-zealot Left as a preferred, “clean-burning,” alternative to oil. In the far-Left Mecca of Palm Springs, California, public transportation was fueled by natural gas. New York City, Chicago, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, St. Louis, Philadelphia, and other major metropolitan areas moved to natural gas-fueled taxi fleets just after 2010.
And then, in the blink of an eye, natural gas became an evil fossil fuel that needed to be eradicated from the US energy lexicon. Of course, this ex-communication of natural gas from the approved list of clean energy sources wasn’t always the way the fascist-Left looked at the commodity.
In 2007, under the pro-Green Energy administration of Barack Obama, the US Department of Energy touted natural gas use insisting that utilizing natural gas was not only a way to increase energy security in the United States (“natural gas is a domestically available fuel”) but also that it protected public health and the environment.
Data supplied by the US DoE stated that the use of natural gas produced:
60% to 90% less smog-producing pollutants
30% to 40% less greenhouse gas emissions
Further, the same DoE report insisted that the utilization of natural gas as a widely used fuel would act as a gateway fuel to hydrogen:
So, at a time when the world is clamoring for relief from Russia’s thumb-screw hold on the energy market, why isn’t the Biden administration cutting loose with our massive natural gas resources to turn those thumb-screws back onto Vladimir Putin? Why hasn’t the Biden Department of Energy approved and facilitated the use of cleaner, more environmentally-friendly natural gas in their pursuit of alternative energy use?
Because it’s never been about the environment or clean energy. It has always been about using the “climate” issue as a gateway transformative issue to facilitate a hostile takeover of the sovereign-nation economic system by the global elite. That is why the Green Energy plank is front and center in the World Economic Forum’s Great Reset.
If the West, led by the Biden administration (and I know using the phrase “led by” is stretching the idea thin), is serious about hobbling Putin’s energy dominance in Europe there shouldn’t even be a breath between considering and authorizing a “full-speed-ahead” approach to LNG production, export, and utilization – not only for Europe but also right here at home.
But making the US energy independent while hobbling Russia’s energy chokehold on Europe isn’t a priority for the fascist-Left of the Biden regime. Facilitating the Great Reset, enriching the chosen, and forcing “not ready for prime time,” unaffordable Green technology on the American people at the cost of our life savings is.
Are we done yet with the activists, charlatans, and grifters in government yet? When we get there, maybe someone can wake me for the revolution. I’d hate to miss it.

Are they serious? Of course they are. We can count on sanctions to be ever bit as effective as the action they have directed to our Southern Border, where Americans live in fear, not freedom. I have to ask, are these token sanctions are to mask the power adgenda or is it fear?
