Hollywood, Fascist-Left Elites Pouring Money into Out-of-State Midterm Elections
We hear it from the campaign trail every election cycle, how special interest and “dark money” taints the political process, and how our electoral system is desperately in need of fiduciary reforms. The Left vomits invective about the deep pockets on the Right, and the Right hand-wrings and whimpers about the deep pockets on the Left.
But nothing ever comes of those pleas for more transparency and accountability. In fact, election finances get more complicated and convoluted every election cycle with myriad revenue streams pouring into hotspot races from everywhere and sometimes from overseas. The authorities that are tasked with keeping campaign finances in check exist purely as an afterthought; reactionary and powerless to intervene in any real-time crime or fraud.
And so we have a barrage of outside influencers usurping the sovereignties of people in every election coast to coast; influencers who suffer no consequences for their unsolicited involvement – for the overwhelming part – because they don’t live in the jurisdictions their activism affects.
A perfect case in point comes in how the elitist fascist-Left in Hollywood is pouring money into key midterm races.
From the US Senate races in Georgia and Arizona to George Soros-organized District and States Attorneys and Attorney Generals contests in targeted states, out-of-staters (and in particular California residents) Steven Spielberg, Mark Ruffalo, Kerry Washington, Jennifer Garner, and Rob Reiner, to name but a few, have taken it upon themselves to inject their influence into political contests outside of their constituencies, thus diluting the value of citizenship for those who live in the states they seek to influence.
In Georgia, freshman US Sen. Raphael Warnock (D-GA), who squeaked by in a special election heavily influenced by activism and funding from outside the State of Georgia, is again attracting donations from out-of-state activists. Warnock is defending his seat against a field of Republican challengers anchored by Herschel Walker, the former football star.
Territorial usurpers Jennifer Garner, ABC’s Scandal star Kerry Washington, and Rob ‘Meathead’ Reiner, have donated $2,900 each (the maximum allowed for a primary) to Warnock’s reelection bid, and Danny DeVito and Rhea Perlman each donated $2,500 in August. Other out-of-state Warnock glitterati benefactors include Rosario Dawson, Holland Taylor, and Tony Goldwyn.
US Sen. Mark Kelly (D-AZ), is also gleaning out-of-state Hollywood money as he seeks to retain the seat he also won in a squeaker special election in 2020.
George Soros has heaped outside financial assistance on races for District and States Attorneys and Attorney Generals across the country, including:
Diana Becton (Contra Costa Co., California)
George Gascon (Los Angeles Co., California)
Monique Worrell (9th Judicial Circuit: Orange & Osceola Cos., Florida)
Darius Pattillo (Henry Co., Georgia)
Kim Foxx (Cook Co., Illinois)
James Stewart (Caddo Parish, Louisiana)
Scott Colom (Circuit Court District 16, Mississippi)
Jody Owens (Hinds Co., Mississippi)
Kim Gardner (St. Louis, Missouri)
Raul Torrez (Bernalillo Co., New Mexico)
Alvin Bragg (Manhattan, New York)
David Clegg (Ulster Co., New York)
Larry Krasner (Philadelphia, Pennsylvania)
Jack Stollsteimer (Delaware Co., Pennsylvania)
Joe Gonzalez (Bexar Co., Texas)
John Creuzot (Dallas Co., Texas)
Brian Middleton (Fort Bend Co., Texas)
Kim Ogg (Harris Co., Texas)
José Garza (Travis Co., Texas
Parisa Dehghani-Tafti (Arlington Co. & City of Falls Church, Virginia)
Steve Descano (Fairfax Co., Virginia)
Buta Biberaj (Loudoun Co., Virginia)
Ramin Fatehi (Norfolk Co., Virginia)
If any of those locations sound familiar to you it is because they are election hotspots that, on election night, find Democrat attorneys contesting Republican wins, filing lawsuits to affect the outcomes of elections.
It doesn’t take a PhD in political science – or Democrat ballot counters from Chicago – to understand why Soros would want to have political capital when elections are litigated in hotspot swing state locations.
By the way, George Soros is a resident and registered voter in the State of New York.
Why This Is Important
While the issue of campaign finance is a complicated one, it really shouldn’t be. If we were to be open, honest, transparent, and receptive to the idea that every citizen’s vote is sovereign, campaign finance would be limited to the accrual of financial contributions from supporters (read: voters) from within the jurisdiction associated with the race.
The idea that labor unions or foundations, corporate leaders from the Right or Hollywood hollow-heads from the Left have dogs in political battles outside where they vote is a sorry argument that facilitates an elitist privilege on organizations and the wealthy while diminishing the value of the citizen voter.
So much for the fascist-Left’s dedication to “equity.”
How is it that Rob Reiner or Steven Spielberg should have more influence in a Georgia election, being California residents, than a single Black mother from rural Decatur County? Given the fascist-Left’s penchant for claiming any obstacle to voting – be it physical or intellectual – is a usurpation of voting rights and disenfranchisement of the voter, how is their unsolicited self-involvement not considered a direct attack on the right to freely access and execute the casting of a ballot by that Black mother?
Further, benefactor organizations facilitate the influence of outsiders by virtue of their national appeal based on ideology and activism. The same can be said for labor unions. While these entities certainly have the right to lobby not only their members but also the public at large, one has to question whether their application of financial contributions in support of specific candidates in specific races isn’t, again, a thumb-on-the-scale influence in sovereign elections; an influence that creates disingenuous illusions of popularity that affects the judgments of voters.
Where the US Senate is concerned, our system of government – in its original form – avoided the poison of outside influence because US Senators were appointed by the state legislatures and recallable during times of bad behavior. Bad behavior under that original system meant a Senator selling out the citizens of his or her state for either a political party, special interests, or both.
Thanks to the fascist-Left (then, and again now, known as Progressives) in the Wilsonian era, the 17th Amendment was passed and the pure brilliance of the check and balance as prescribed by the Framers was severely damaged.
Mr. Soros’s gross and perverted attempt at poisoning the rule of law in the United States via the injection of far-Left and elitist ideology is another attack in and of itself.
We talk a lot about how we, as a people in the United States, could have allowed ourselves to become so intensely divided. I suggest that one of the chief tools of division comes from the outside influences that steal the purity of elections from the people the contests were meant to serve.
Organizations and foundations, labor unions and even Rob ‘Meathead’ Reiner would still have the opportunity to lobby the people, but they would have to win the war of ideas in the public square, not pretty-up candidates that would otherwise be seen as unworthy of a constituent’s vote.
Additionally, overseas actors would be stymied from using illegal monies to influence elections inside the United States because contributions from outside a set number of Zip Codes would be rejected.
Imagine if only those with the authority to cast a ballot were allowed to contribute to a political campaign. Imagine how much more effectively a politician would have to work to garner a vote. He or she may even have to talk to his or her constituents.
Imagine that...
