Democrats & Their Habit Of Elder Abuse
It became apparent in the immediate run-up to the 2020 General Election. Something had happened to then-candidate Joe Biden. His speech and mobility changed dramatically and he took to wearing sunglasses a majority of the time; a political marketing no-no in anyone’s book because it keeps people from seeing a candidate’s eyes.
Nevertheless, with all the slurring and shuffling, the radical Left Democrat machine was too invested in Biden’s candidacy to pivot. Regardless of his obvious health issues, Joe Biden was their guy and he was going to be pushed over the finish line even if it was in a wheelchair.
To date, Biden’s health has been an issue for which the White House has issued disingenuous responses. And through his tenure as president, the signs of Biden’s cognitive decline have only increased to the level of being obvious to even his most “head-in-the-sand” supporters.
Roll In Dianne Feinstein
After a three-month absence, for which the explanation was cloudy at best, US Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-CA), returned to the US Senate chamber, not with a triumphant stride – or even a Biden-esque shuffle, but in a wheelchair looking shockingly gaunt and ill-prepared for the rigors on governing.
Her shocking appearance had many – including those with medical backgrounds – contemplating whether or not the 89-year-old Senator had suffered from a massive stroke. One side of her face drooping, a common sign of stroke, and her presence of mind (or lack thereof) to her whereabouts only added to that supposition.
As The Sun reported:
“Upon her return, Feinstein's ailing health became more apparent than previously disclosed after she arrived on Capitol Hill in a wheelchair, with the left side of her face frozen and one eye nearly shut.
“The shingles spread to her face and neck, causing vision and balance impairments and facial paralysis known as Ramsay Hunt syndrome…In Feinstein's case, the virus also brought on a previously unreported case of encephalitis - a rare shingles complication…
“Post-shingles encephalitis can cause language and memory problems, episodes of confusion, mood disorders, sleep disorders, mobility issues, and headaches...
“Feinstein's memory issues have raised questions about her mental capacity to serve…”
Anyone in this condition cannot – “to the best of their ability” – serve the people they were elected to serve. It is impossible.
This Is Definitely Not About Diversity
Biden. Then US Sen. John Fetterman (D-PA). Now Feinstein. If two occurrences are a coincidence, three establish a pattern. When that pattern is related to cognitive abilities and levels of elected office like the President of the United States and seats in the US Senate, we should not sugar-coat reality – or ignore reality – simply for reasons of politics or to be polite.
The ignoring of Mr. Biden’s cognitive decline and declining physical capabilities has telegraphed weakness to leaders of nation-states that are not friendly to the United States. Upon Biden’s election and ascension to the presidency, the Communist Chinese spoke quite clearly on the subject of American weakness on the world stage.
At the Biden administration’s first official meeting with Communist China in March of 2021, Yang Jiechi, China’s most senior foreign policy official, told US Secretary of State Antony Blinken the US wasn’t qualified to “speak from a position of strength” when addressing issues related to China.
Then, knowing full well the extent of the United States' diminished stature in the world – and as the Biden administration focused on Balkanizing the American people by demographics and ideology to further their political longevity, Vladimir Putin invaded Ukraine, a decision that would only have been made with the knowledge that Biden – the so-called leader of the free world – was in no physical or mental shape to lead a global coalition against the move.
Because of the radical Left in the Democrat apparatus – the same people who puppet-stringed Barack Obama throughout his presidency – China is advancing its influence around the globe and has coalesced with Russia for the first time in contemporary history. Meanwhile, Russia is – as many in Europe fear – setting the stage for a reconstitution of the satellite nations that comprised the Soviet Union and perhaps worse.
It should come as no surprise to anyone paying attention that many Europeans are smelling the winds of conflict approaching their own sovereign soil, and at a time when the United States is absent a leader with the cognitive skills to navigate the battle.
And now, the slim margin of control in the United States Senate – what used to be referred to as the greatest debate floor since the Roman Senate, hinges on two Democrat Senators with noticeable cognitive disabilities; two Democrats Senators that – with all due respect to Feinstein – have no business pretending they have the ability to execute their positions with fidelity.
In Any Other Scenario…
I won’t apply this to Fetterman because the people of Pennsylvania who voted him into office knew he suffered a stroke and sent him to the Senate anyway, doing so because they vote blindly for the consonant behind a candidate's name. They get the representation they deserve for being so incredibly shallow in selecting their elected officials. They got the government; the representation they deserved: an absent Senator with diminished cognitive skills, perhaps a true representation of the voters who sent him to office.
But with regard to Biden and Feinstein, there can be no doubt that the radical Left Democrat puppeteers require their presence so that they can maintain power and little else.
The Biden presidency had to occur because his candidacy was too far along for them to pivot to someone else. They don’t dare contemplate Biden’s removal, resignation, or declaration that he won’t run again because that makes them vulnerable to Kamala Harris as president and that is not her role in all of this. Her role was to protect the Biden presidency because a Harris presidency is – even to radical Democrats – unthinkable.
As for Feinstein, it is simple. They – the radical agenda-seeking Left in the Democrat Swamp – need her vote. They don’t want her wisdom, her opinion, or her debate. They want her rubber stamp vote and that is it.
In both cases, the radical Left puppeteers – and their supporters like the foaming-at-the-mouth fascist Rob Reiner, the vacuous Kathy Griffin, and the rest of the Hollywood and Wall Street reprobates who turned a blind eye to the activities of people like Jeff Epstein and Harvey Weinstein – have placed power above the well-being of those they have used to acquire and maintain that power.
I don’t know about you, but people like that – the arrogant; the narcissistic; the opportunistic; the incredibly shallow – disgust me.
The Reality Of The Matter Is Clear
The United States Justice Department’s Office of Justice Programs defined elder abuse thusly:
“Elder abuse is defined as an intentional or negligent act that causes harm or serious risk of harm to an older adult. It’s estimated that more than ten percent of seniors over the age of 65 experience some form of elder abuse each year.
“Elder abuse can include physical, psychological, and sexual abuse; financial exploitation; and neglect and abandonment…Victims of elder abuse are not just targeted by strangers. Family members, friends, and acquaintances can also take advantage of their relationship to defraud older Americans.”
What the radical Left in the Democrat Party has done and is doing to Biden and Feinstein is clearly within the boundaries of the definition of elder abuse. They are exploiting Biden and Feinstein to control the positions of power to which they were elected, and doing so without input from either of them to any real extent.
Say what you will about Biden and Feinstein, their belief systems, so-called accomplishments, politics, etc., (I am a fan of either) neither of them deserves to be exploited, degraded, and/or humiliated the way the radical Left is exploiting, degrading, and humiliating them.
If we want to maintain our claim to being a civil and enlightened society, this type of elder abuse needs to be called out and those perpetrating it for their own political opportunism must be expelled from public service and the brutish industry that has come to support public service.
