Dangerously Ignorant & Hateful
TDS is so prevalent on the Left that common sense and scholarship fly out the window. Some cases on point.
Thanks to Trump, Iran will not have a nuclear weapon in the foreseeable future. Nonetheless, the Left condemns Trump’s actions to ensure they don’t. The Left is dangerously ignorant of the threat posed by the Shi’ite branch of Islam. They are equally ignorant of the Islamic principle of abrogation and kitman.
Abrogation is the doctrine that later parts of the Koran that contradict earlier parts take precedence over the earlier parts. Early parts of the Koran acknowledge the Torah and Bible as valid for Jews and Christians, clearly suggesting tolerance. Later parts of the Koran clearly refute this tolerance, calling for the murder or subjugation of Jews and Christians. The “religion of peace”, applying the principle of abrogation, is nothing of the kind.
Shi’ite Muslims also believe in the coming of the twelfth Imam and that he will appear as the result of a violent confrontation with infidels, jihad by any other name. That event is supposed to usher in the age of complete Islamic domination, their version of heaven on Earth. The killing or death of Muslims to bring this about is completely acceptable, and they will be considered martyrs whether they choose to be or not.
A nuclear strike on Israel and the United States is therefore completely acceptable, even if it means the destruction of Iran and the death of millions of Iranians. It is a price the Iranian mullahs are willing to pay.
Lying to infidels is also an accepted practice and encouraged to promote Islam. Those on the Left willing to accept the lies claiming Islam is the religion of peace are dangerously ignorant. Nothing short of a mushroom cloud over Washington will convince them they are wrong. TDS runs so deep that the real threat of Islam is ignored and replaced by hatred for Trump.
Then we have the arrest of Nicolas Maduro. Trump is branded a liar for claiming no American lives were lost in that operation. The Left stretches the application of the word “American” to include the security detail guarding Maduro, mostly Cubans and Venezuelans.
What the Left ignores is that Maduro transformed Venezuela into a drug trafficking nation-state, pushing drugs into the United States and Europe. Maduro was the head of a drug cartel. The Left bleeds for the death of Maduro’s security detail and couldn't care less for the millions of Americans killed by the drugs Maduro pushed. As long as they can brand Trump a liar, nothing else matters.
The Left has made its choices clear. They would rather see a nuclear-armed Iran willing to use nuclear weapons than acknowledge that Trump was right and acted when previous Democrat and Republican presidents alike failed, even though they said Iran should never have a nuclear weapon. The Left would rather mourn the loss of Maduro’s goon squad than acknowledge that Trump ended Venezuela’s status as a drug trafficking nation-state responsible for the death of millions of Americans.
Hatred destroys common sense and reason. Any excuse to hate Trump will do, no matter how many lives it may cost.
