Canadian Court Makes Freedom Convoy Organizer a Political Prisoner

In Justin Trudeau’s quest to usher in a fascist-Left totalitarian state – more in line with the goals of the World Economic Forum’s Great Reset than with the traditional freedoms embraced by the Canadian people, an Ontario court has issued a ruling that has done the unthinkable. It created a political prisoner in a free country.

Ontario Court Justice Julie Bourgeois has denied bail for Tamara Lich, one of the organizers of the Freedom Convoy protest in Ottawa that redressed the Canadian government’s ham-handed COVID mandates, restrictions, and penalties.

In an initial hearing, Lich said she would cease her actions of advocacy and return to her home in Alberta if allowed to be released on bail.

But coming before the court for a delayed bail hearing, Bourgeois denied Lich bail saying, “I cannot be reassured that if I release you into the community that you will not re-offend. Your detention is necessary for the protection and safety of the public.”

In addition to denying Lich her freedom, Bourgeois also ordered Lich to have no contact with other convoy organizers Benjamin Dichter, Christopher Barber, and Daniel Bulford.

The Canadian House of Commons (the lower chamber of its legislative branch) voted on February 21st in favor of Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s draconian use of the Emergencies Act to respond to the protests. Liberals and New Democratic Party members voted to support Trudeau’s fascist move, while Conservatives and Bloc Québécois voted against it.

The Senate is scheduled to start its own debate on the measures on February 22nd.

Why This Is Important

It needs to be stated here that Trudeau and his government never entertained such a totalitarian response to Black Lives Matter and Antifa protests when they terrorized the streets of Canada’s urban areas the last two summers.

In fact, Trudeau’s political opportunism found him joining the BLM protests that disrupted business on Parliament Hill in June of 2020; protests that saw BLM protesters destroying property and committing acts much more aggressive than those of the Freedom Convoy protesters.

Yet, the fascist-Left government under Trudeau’s administration never considered the implementation of the Emergency Act. They never crafted legislation that froze the monetary assets of the protesters. They never confiscated and then threatened to sell any BLM or Antifa assets; assets used in the execution of making a living.

That was reserved for people who were protesting their government’s theft of their freedom under the guise of public health. Today, even as countries around the world begin to admit the incredible mistake of thwarting the acquisition of herd immunity to combat the virus, the Canadian government is still devoted to the false narrative that curtailing the freedom of its people is for the “public good.”

Perhaps it is seated in the arrogance that Trudeau and his fascist-Left cadre of elitists possess deep in their fragile egos. But it is more likely that Trudeau’s moves – supported by Canadian Finance Minister Chrystia Freeland, who is directly affiliated with the World Economic Forum – are more globalist and nefarious in nature. This is by design.

Why else would the Canadian government create – create – a political prisoner in Tamara Lich? The Freedom Convoy protest was infinitely less volatile than the BLM protests of the recent past. Yet the Canadian government executed an unprecedented full-on, military-style assault on the Freedom Convoy protesters; protesters who had the “audacity” to redress their government on the subject of restoring their freedom.

Freedom of expression in Canada – and this includes the right to redress government and protest its decisions – is protected as a “fundamental freedom” by Section 2 of the Canadian Charter of Rights & Freedoms:

“Everyone has the following fundamental freedoms: (a) freedom of conscience and religion; (b) freedom of thought, belief, opinion and expression, including freedom of the press and other media of communication; (c) freedom of peaceful assembly; and (d) freedom of association.”

In Bourgeois ruling, she essentially used Trudeau’s invocation of the Emergency Act to suspend Lich’s rights under Canada’s Charter. This is the action of a fascist; of a tyrant, and Canada’s lower legislative chamber is facilitating the denial of Lich’s rights based on the false premise and manufactured narrative of Lich being a “threat” to public safety.

If rioting BLM and Antifa protesters aren’t categorized as a “threat” to public safety, then the peaceful assembly of those who bring foods and goods to our stores to demand the return of freedom can’t be categorized as a “threat” either...that is unless the threat is to despotism.

To that end, the despots of the Canadian Left are creating political prisoners. Tamara Lich is victim zero.
