Are We Really As Free As We Are Led To Believe?
Politicians and ideologically-based special interest groups are quick to tell us that we are “free” in the United States. True, the citizens of the United States exist in a state that is much freer in comparison to most nations around the world. But with that freedom – with that perceived freedom – comes responsibility and consequence, or at least it used to be that way.
America’s 122-year incremental journey to the ideological Left-of-Center brings us to a point in time when the very idea of freedom is open to interpretation. So, too, we have arrived at a moment in our history when freedom’s accompanying consequences are artificially detached, perverting our freedoms in significant ways.
No longer do we learn from our mistakes or have to suffer the consequences for our actions. In today’s United States – a place where victimhood is the norm and moral relativism rules the day, the nanny state federal government routinely expands the social “safety nets” so that there is no need to learn from our mistakes; to learn from our poor choices. The social engineers of the Ivy League ivory towers have become very adept at explaining away any bad behavior as a byproduct of some societal ill, conveniently placing the blame for said bad behavior on manufactured scapegoat societal demographics.
The Freedom To Learn From Failure
Since the nascent, as-of-then undeclared wokeism of the “everyone gets a trophy” generation, both young adults and children have been robbed of the ability to learn from their failures.
In organized sports it started with not keeping score and everyone on the team getting time to play in the game. Lost from the spirit of competition (which, by the by, served to prepare children for the competition of life) was the need to better yourself; to identify your short-comings, chart a course for rectifying those short-comings, and earn a place in the starting line-up or playing rotation.
This denial of process exploded from the Little League and youth soccer fields into the classrooms. Today, there are school systems across the country that believe it is more important to protect a child’s self-esteem than it is to instill critical thinking skills; denying them the ability to self-examine and arrive at a place where they can make educated decisions to better themselves or chart a course for their own lives.
Today, while many of our nation’s college freshmen (or is that freshwoman, or is that even non-permissible, who the hell knows any more, it is so insanely ridiculous) have to take remedial math and reading courses just to be able to open any “101” book, the enabling wokeism that has been ingrained into them – courtesy of the ivory towers, has empowered them with levels of ignorance-based intolerance not seen since the heyday of the pre-Civil Rights Era.
Our Freedom To Blindly Protest
And while activist groups, special interest leaders, and politicians routinely reinforce our right to protest anything and everything (as long as it doesn’t transgress their artificially established and preferred narratives), the organizers and beneficiaries of said special interest causes have abused a public that exists unable to think critically on the issue being protested to opportunistically capitalize on what is couched as crisis and societal wrongs.
A perfect example comes in the violent and destructive Black Lives Matter protests of 2020 and the racially-based protests following the Michael Brown shooting in 2014. Both of these protest movements were organized by political and special interest heretics who played on the emotions of the people to enrich and position themselves while advancing the extremist ideology based in Critical Race Theory, a theory that lays all bad behavior of America’s Black Community at the feet of the White male.
Pay no attention to the facts in either incident. Pay no attention to the fact that in the Michael Brown case, “hands up, don’t shoot” was a false flag narrative that never took place. Or that Brown was the violent aggressor who had just committed a strong-arm robbery of a store. Pay no attention that he attempted to un-holster an officer’s gun. Pay no attention to the fact that he had a criminal record. None of that fits the preferred narrative.
And so, protest organizers – under the cover provided by a lack of truthful media coverage – ginned up the demon of racism to further their ideological and political causes, all under the guise of the freedom to protest.
In the George Floyd shooting death, the system, in the end, worked. A jury found the offending officers guilty and today they are serving sentences levied on them by a jury of their peers and meted out by the rule of law. But the process wasn’t enough for the special interest and race-based activist organizers. They manufactured the narrative of “systemic racism” basing that claim solely on the racist and extremist Critical Race Theory.
Curated data from across the country that culminates in the annual FBI statistic reports thoroughly debunked the existence of systemic racism in law enforcement, especially in cases of White officers shooting unarmed Black men. In fact, the statistics, instead, pointed toward a true evil in our society: the epidemic of Black-on-Black crime embedded into our urban areas.
But that didn’t fit the preferred narrative and so, again, the complicit mainstream media enabled the disingenuous protest organizers and cities burned, businesses were lost (which means jobs were lost), and racism was once again fueled by the special interests so that they – and they alone – could benefit both politically and financially.
But, hey, we did see the crumbs that the activist organizers handed out to society. The people got to protest and embrace the illusion of doing something; of being important; of “being on the right side of the issue” even as their feet were firmly planted in the dirt of that despicable false narrative.
The Freedom To Be Abused & Stupid
And throughout the 2020 General Election, we witnessed roughly a third of American voters exercise their right to be stupid. It’s hard to hear, but sometimes the truth hurts.
Instead of examining the policies that had been enacted from 2016 on – policies that saw crime drop, 401ks grow, minority homeownership and business start-ups skyrocket, and the United States energy independent, the false-narrative merchants marketed the choice for the presidential race in the cult of personality and manufactured crisis. It was more important to vote against the “orange man” because, well, just because. It didn’t matter that his policies benefited everyone – everyone – in the country. He was rough around the edges, didn’t talk like Barack Obama, and had funny hair. He had to go because in the era of victimhood, Donald Trump wasn’t a victim. He was an outsider that enacted common sense policy strategies that didn’t take a knee to the inside-the-beltway bureaucracy or the establishment Deep State apparatus.
Besides, the Führers at the World Economic Forum didn’t like him because he wasn’t delivering the United States the altar of globalism so the rest of the world could suck the marrow out of her bones.
Fauci-Style Freedom
And then there was the mass formation inanity of the COVID event. This necessarily has to be the icing on the cake of grand stupidity, courtesy of the confectioner BigPharma stooges at the Center for Disease Control & Prevention in collusion with the dark masters of biowarfare; dark masters that still collude with the Communist Chinese.
Over 70 percent of the world’s population, not just the American population, fell for the false narrative that the mRNA vaccines were the saving grace; that the DNA-altering mRNA vaccines were “safe and effective.” The Biden administration is on record as blatantly lying to the American people in stating that if we all got the vaccine we would never get or spread COVID.
Those who sounded the alarm on the lies were castigated, canceled, smeared, and ostracized. Effective therapies using already established medications, holistic approaches, and vitamin supplements were tantamount to outlawed even as the Big Pharma companies received indemnity from prosecution for their products; products that today we know cause severe and life-long side effects and, in the worst cases, death.
As people screamed at other people through their masks for not social distancing and/or not wearing masks (masks that did little to nothing to stop the spread of COVID because the overwhelming number of masks being used had cloth apertures thousands of times larger than the virus diameters), our freedom to maintain autonomy over our own bodies and our health decisions were dramatically and unilaterally depreciated. People lost their jobs, their life’s savings, and many elderly people had to die alone, denied even the touch or presence of their loved ones, because a draconian totalitarian state led by opportunists and megalomaniac fascists denied us our freedom to choose.
It is for this very reason a laugh in the faces of anyone who still vomits the tired, false narrative, “My body, my choice!” Under the current totalitarian central government scheme in the United States, you are only allowed domain over your body if the government allows you to have that choice. Meanwhile, when the federal government reverts to the limitations of the Constitution, returning purview of an issue to the dominion of the states, the same people who told you the freedom to choose what goes into your body had to be curtailed, now say the exact opposite.
Yes, 70 percent of the planet's inhabitants had the freedom to exercise mass formation psychosis and a grand display of chaotic stupidity, and they got the jab and all required boosters.
(A side note: I am proud to say that I am in the 30 percent who refused to follow the COVID lemmings over the cliffs. Now I have to make sure I never need blood in an emergency thanks to all who blinding altered their DNA in a massive biotech experiment from which we will all be suffering the consequences for generations. Do I have the freedom to remain free of BigPharma’s poison?)
We Have The Power
Just as we have the freedom to be stupid, we have the freedom to break the social cycle and pivot back to sanity, intellectual autonomy, and true freedom.
I listen to podcasts that examine issues without the stain of political psychobabble and bias. One of them is hosted by Sharyl Attkisson, an independent journalist who was brave enough to say “no more” to the mainstream media propaganda complex. At the end of each of her podcasts she makes a statement that should be stated at the end of every news-based program, article, podcast, etc. She states, “Do your own research. Make up your own mind. Think for yourself.”
“Do your own research. Make up your own mind. Think for yourself.”
Imagine how much more freedom we all would really have if we stopped following the manipulators and the abusers? Imagine what we could reclaim for society if we dis-empowered the special interest activists and the opportunistic politicians?
In the end, we in the United States, as it stands today, are not free. We wear the chains of the tax man, of the lobbied special interests of the deep pockets, and of the ideological zealots whose intellectual cancer has infected our halls of government and higher education. The question: Do we really want to be free, or is it too inconvenient?
If the answer is yes, then we have to embrace and accept the responsibilities and consequences that come with the God-given right to be free. And those responsibilities include being the masters of the government. Today, we are not free because we wear its chains, and do so blindly and willingly.
Wake up, America.
