WikiLeaks has released what it said is the full hacking capacity of the CIA in a stunning 8,000-plus page disclosure. The 8,761 documents and files - released as "Vault 7 Part 1" and titled "Year Zero" - were obtained from an "isolated, high-security network" at the CIA's Center for Cyber Intelligence in Langley, Va.
The collection of documents is said to include information on CIA-developed malware intended to target iPhones, Android phones, smart TVs and Microsoft, Mac and Linux operating systems, among others.
Now, for all those who were cheering when WikiLeaks released the documents on Hillary Clinton, John Podesta, the Clinton Foundation and the DNC, this is where the rubber hits the road. Do you still cheer WkiLeaks or do you see them as criminals? The lens of perception is a tricky thing.
What is certain in all of this is one thing. The Deep State - what pundits are calling the bureaucratic Fifth Column in government - is inundated with activists masquerading as career political appointees who are more than willing to expose State secrets for political purposes. That presents a clear and present danger to not only the administration in power, regardless of who the president is, it usurps our form of government entirely.
At this point, it is treason and an attempt to overthrow and/or otherwise compromise our government. It should be met with the harshest penalties that the laws for treason allow.
