At a Democrat/Progressive rally recently in Illinois - with Sen. Dick Durbin (D-IL) and Rep. Tammy Duckworth (P-IL), in attendance, caustic Progressive Sen. Elizabeth Warren (P-MA), demonstrated just how snobbishly hateful she really is.
In misrepresenting the current Republican bill to repeal and replace Obamacare, Warren ginned up a big heaping helping of elitist hate when she looked down her nose and exclaimed, "I hope Republicans donate their bodies to science, so we can cut them open [to see what's inside]."
I recognize that she was making a lame attempt at gratuitous humor, but her statement demonstrates that she views those who do not hold her ideological positions as creatures; beings beneath her station and intellect; specimens to examine and manipulate like laboratory animals. This is quite hypocritical seeing as how her base constituency would take to the streets in protest over laboratory experiments on animals.
This is the quintessential problem with Progressives: their deep-seeded arrogance; their intrinsic snobbery. Obama telegraphed it with his book title, "The Audacity of Hope," as if only Progressives have hope for our country.
If our nation is going to survive - and at this point my jury is out, sadly - we must start electing people of confidence and humility, not arrogant, snobbish egotists who look down on the public as if they were herd animals.
