Nancy Salem, a pre-school teacher at the the Children's Courtyard in South Arlington, Texas, has been suspended from her post after an investigation was launched into her anti-Semitic remarks on social media. One of her social media posts read, "Have a safe trip Lulu. I love you baby girl! See you in 3 weeks! Kiss the Palestine ground for me and kill some jews!"
Another in a litany of anti-Semitic remarks read: "How many Jews died in the Holocaust?" with "Not enough...HAHAHAHA." And yet another read, "How was the copper wire invented. They threw a penny between the two Jews. LOLACHAUST,"
How, in the name of God, did this woman get certified to teach children in the United States of America? Would you want this hateful protagonist of violence anywhere near your child?
If our education colleges are not vetting students so people like this cannot reach the classroom, what the hell are they doing?
I have contended for over a decade now, and getting on two, that the education system - including the colleges of education and the federal and state governmental overseeing departments - are broken.
We need a revolution in education that addresses practical applications instead of a system exclusively based on data-driven theory. We need to re-examine the "grade" system and explore modular curriculum so children can work at their own ability and pace without dragging other children to the lowest denominator. And we need to give the classrooms back to teachers who have the best interests of the children at heart; those who understand the importance of teaching critical thinking skills, instead of indoctrinating our children into radical ideologies.
As for Salem, Texas should revoke her teaching certificates immediately.
