Oregon lawmakers are considering a vote which would result in the removal of the constitutional ban on gun-blazing duels between public officials. While their consideration is centered on the expunging of outdated laws, the matter would have to go to the people for a referendum vote as the measure is codified in their State constitution.
Of course, they may be onto something here. One has to wonder how far politicians would be willing to go in their dis-ingenuousness, in calling each other "liars," and other accusing each other of wrong-doing when they had to face the possibility of being called out to a duel.
The possibility of being challenged to a duel because of political chicanery and media manipulation would surely curtail a great amount of the political opportunism that we current have to stomach on a daily basis.
Think of it...Susan Rice and Donald Trump facing off in a duel because of her actions. Honestly, I think the legislators of Oregon might be on to something...who would have thought?
