Pres. Trump signed a new executive order Monday instructing federal government departments and agencies to cut duplicative and unnecessary programs across the board. The order is intended to "improve the efficiency, effectiveness and accountability of the executive branch."
In other words, Trump's new EO is set to reduce the size of the Federal Government by streamlining every Executive Branch entity. Maybe now many of those waiting for the White House to fill the "many remaining appointments" will get that they may not ever get filled.
Trump said as much during his campaign. He said on many occasions that he would seek to reduce the size of government through attrition and streamlining. He is keeping that promise.
And why wouldn't the mainstream media be weighing in on this with the appropriate amount of coverage? The ignore it because big government is the thing of Democrats and establishment Republicans; it is something that voters of all stripes hate, and something that would coalesce them, at least on one issue, behind Pres. Trump.
This is perhaps just as monumental as the repealing or Obamacare or the radical tax reform that is loaded in the pipe. As much as I was skeptical about TRump during the campaign, it is nice to have someone in the Oval Office after eight years of Barack Obama who can multi-task; who can walk and chew gum at the same time.
