So here is a bigger question when it comes to SEC pressing the test on crypto, where does the FDIC fall into this argument?
Not sure who has been tracking the BITCOIN house hacks lately, but it is starting to make CC Fraud/Theft look like amateur fun with the amount of money being pulled out. Is there a point where crypto's and block-chains are going to be tied to a nation's bank insurance structure for bailout and what pain will it cause on a strategic level, let alone a tactical level on economy and livelihood

Government officials in Afghanistan are reporting that more than 40 people were killed after Taliban terrorists assaulted the Intercontinental Hotel in Afghanistan's capital, Kabul, Saturday. This leads to a question: How are they able to do this?
The United States and an international coalition have been battling the Taliban and its affiliated forces since just after the 9/11 attacks. In the years before Barack Obama assumed the presidency, the Taliban had its back against the wall; existing far more decimated than when battling the Russians in the 1980s and 1990s. Today, the Taliban can strike at the heart of the capitol city in Afghanistan and do so targeting a location that is allegedly heavily guarded to protect foreign diplomats and business people. Two points come to mind at this reality. First, the Afghan military/Security Forces and intelligence mechanisms are infiltrated with Taliban sympathizers who afford critical security information to that terrorist group. And second, we have declared a modicum of success prematurely. If this reality is not dealt with more effectively; if the Taliban is allowed to strengthen again to the levels pre-9/11, the next strike on our soil - or in the free world - will make 9/11 look like a traffic accident!
When the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences banished sexual predator Harvey Weinstein to the netherworld, they did so in such a knee-jerk manner that they opened themselves up to a huge conundrum: What do do with all the other sexual predators they have celebrated over the years.
I would like to point out that everyone - even Weinstein - needs to considered innocent until proven guilty. That is how our legal system works. Sadly, in the court of public opinion, which these days seems to usurp our rule of law, a charge, innuendo or rumor can equate to "conviction" and the destruction of a career. That said, there are some real scumbags in the entertainment industry (politics, too). Weinstein, faced with multiple charges of sexual harassment and assault, was quick to claim a mental affliction feigning some sort of victimhood and ceded to the accusations. Same goes for the unrepentant child rapist Roman Polanski. These pigs deserved everything that came to them. But what of the others who deny the accusations? Kevin Spacey, Dustin Hoffman, Ben and Casey Affleck, Brett Ratner, James Toback, they all deny the allegations. For Spacey, it cost him his acclaimed HBO series House of Cards. But I digress. This post is about Hollywood knee-jerkism. With Weinstein banished from the Academy, what is that entity to do with the Roman Polanski's among them? Polanski continues to win awards in the industry, including from the Academy. Will they excommunicate this pig as well? This is the hypocrisy that is allowed to exist when there is a two-tiered justice system and a society that renders verdicts in the court of public opinion. A serial sexual predator gets banished from the academy, and a convicted child rapist gets awards from the same entity.
It has now come to light that the FBI and the Department of Justice have ongoing investigations into The Clinton Foundation and whether there was any "pay-to-play" quid pro quo during Hillary Clinton's time as Barack Obama's Secretary of State. It's about time, but don't hold your breath for a just outcome.
The Clintons, during Bill Clinton's time as President of the United States, packed the DoJ and the FBI with politically loyal career operatives. An examination into Hillary Clinton's 2000 Senate campaign - presented in the book A Fraudulent Senator - revealed blatant and wanton campaign finance violations to the level of the biggest instance of campaign finance fraud in US history. But Clinton loyalists at DoJ sidetracked the investigation into obscurity. These same Clinton loyalists, still in place - and with even some new Progressive Obama/Clinton loyalists added in to the mix, will do everything in their power to protect the Clintons and The Clinton Foundation this time as well. Read the above-mentioned book and ask yourself how there were allowed to get away with it.
President Trump, in one of his infamous tweets Tuesday, went right at former Hillary Clinton aid and estranged spouse of pedophile Anthony Weiner, Huma Abedin, calling for the DoJ to prosecute.
Making no qualms about hos he believes the DoJ is infiltrated and controlled by the inside-the-beltway, go-along-to-get-along Deep State establishment, Mr. Trump referenced a young sailor who was jailed for sending a picture taken aboard a US Navy submarine to his son. The President spoke of the disregard for information security protocols and went so far as to include former FBI director James Comey in the call for prosecution. It has become crystal clear to even the most politically naive that the Justice Department, FBI and a plethora of investigative agencies have been hijacked bv politicians. We exist today in a two-tier justice system that allows for crimes to be committed by an elite class without punishment. The same transgressions of the law would land anyone else in jail. Until there is a purge of political appointees through the Executive Branch of government on a regular basis, people like the Clintons will be able to seat operatives in sensitive positions to run interference for them for the rest of time.
A prankster has made a huge political statement at several locations in California by placing an unofficial sign designating California - and a few specific cities - as sanctuary locations.
The signs are in the form of the nationally recognized blue informational signage, but they do pack a message. One sign says, "Felons, Illegals and MS13 [gang members] welcome." Another reads, "Official Sanctuary City 'Cheap Nannies and Gardeners Make Malibu Great!' (Boyle Heights Not So Much.)" Others include "Democrats Need the Votes." Authorities in California have already removed the signs, but one can only assume that many more will now begin to pop up, which brings me to my point. While the placement of these signs may skirt the law, they are a form of redress to government, which is guaranteed in the First Amendment to the US Constitution. While California's elected cabal may have found a way to maintain power through the manipulation of the ballot box, some California residents are making their disdain for anti-sovereignty actions clearly understood.
Just when you thought it couldn't get more convoluted. Evidently there really is a Nigerian prince behind all of those scam emails...it's just that he is a 67-year old White guy from Slidell, Louisiana.
Michael Neu was arrested and charged with wire fraud and money laundering in connection with the Nigerian prince email scam that targeted the gullible and the greedy. Incredibly, some people believe in pathetic scams like this and get fleeced out of their life savings and/or significant amounts of money. The sad truth is that there are despicable creatures like Neu, who prey on these people for personal gain. As Slidell police Chief Randy Fandal suggested to everyone: "Never give out personal information over the phone or through email, cash checks for other individuals, or wire large amounts of money to someone you don’t know. Ninety-nine-point-nine percent of the time, it’s a scam."
Congress, and specifically the US House of Representatives, are the people's voice in our government on a daily basis. So, when a government employee, or the leaders of a government agency or department, blow off a request to testify before Congress it's a big deal.
Andrew McCabe, a Deputy Director with the FBI whose wife ran for office, solicited funds from the Clinton Foundation -- and who is the subject of three ongoing investigations into improper political activity, suddenly had a "scheduling problem" and had to delay a scheduled appearance before the House Intelligence Committee Tuesday. One has to wonder what internal issue at the FBI would be so incredible pressing that the American people -- through their elected Representative -- would be told to wait in answering questions about subjects pertaining to national security and political malfeasance during the 2016 General Election. One thing is for certain. The Justice Department, the FBI and a good part of the investigative and intelligence communities have been politicized to the point where action needs to be taken to purge the political influence. If no action is taken, the Republic will -- guaranteed -- fall to ruin.
Senior Justice Department official Bruce G. Ohr is a nefarious character indeed. He was demoted last week for concealing that he met with the men behind the now-debunked Trump dossier. But it gets worse...much worse.
Ohr's wife, Nellie Ohr, worked for Fusion GPS, the opposition research organization that produced the propaganda piece on Trump; a propaganda piece that had little to do with the truth. Mrs. Ohr was paid by Fusion GPS through the fall of 2016. Her subject specialty: Russia-related subject matter. It is stunning -- infuriating -- that the Department of Justice has become a fertile political playground for the insider power brokers of politics. It is impossible for a department tasked with assuring justice for all to do so when political operatives freely urinate on objectivity, fairness and a jealous adherence to the rule of law. Just like when Al Capone's organization had to be cleaved from the city government of Chicago, it is time to thoroughly cleanse the Department of Justice of political appointees. This goes double for all investigative and taxing agencies in the Federal government.

Now that the heat has gotten too excruciating for US Rep. John Conyers, Jr. (D-MI), because of a landslide of sexual harassment allegations, the longest serving member of Congress is resigning. But it gets better. Nepotism is alive and well in the Democrat Party. It appears that Mr. Conyers is endorsing his son, John Conyers III (or John Conyers Jr. Jr.) to fill his vacant seat. A greater display of nepotism in federal politics has seldom been witnessed. Interestingly, John Conyers Jr. Jr. is not only the offspring of a man who has been pressured out of office before his term's end because of his inappropriate sexual demeanor, he is also the son of a woman who served a 3-year prison term on a political bribery conviction. Monica Conyers, Congressman Conyer wife, spent 3 years in prison after being convicted on a bribery charge after she admitted to taking bribes to support a Houston company's contract to treat sludge in Detroit while she served as a councilwoman. How can the people of Michigan, regardless of how cobalt blue they may be as Democrats, continue to support this family for public office? Maybe John Conyers Jr. Jr. is an honest guy, but the sins of his mother and father have to stain him politically.

Anyone who has paid attention to Clinton politics over the decades knows that they have saturated the FBI, Justice Department and Treasury Department -- and any other investigative body - with Clinton loyalists who obstruct on their behalf with aplomb. That a mid-level Clintonista in FBI Agent and Special Counsel appointee Peter Strzok has likely skewed the investigation into Hillary Clinton's illegal use of a private email server to transmit top secret information during her tenure as US Secretary of State should come as no surprise. There are literally hundreds of people like Strzok -- Clinton loyalists; Progressives -- who are willing to bend the blindfold of lady justice to affect a political outcome in any given situation. While the term "drain the swamp" may be synonymous with President Trump at this point, the need behind the notion is quite clear. Our Federal government now serves the oligarchic class and the political parties. Even when an outsider takes the White House, the bureaucracy put in place by the political elite thwarts systemic reform at every level and at all cost.

US Rep. John Conyers (D-MI), is no stranger to scandal or corruption. His latest trouble, a sexual harassment claim, only touches a bit of his penchant for walking the ethics tightrope. Conyers' wife, Monica, spent 3 years in prison on a bribery charge conviction. He has been accused of forcing staffers to perform personal duties for the family under the threat of unemployment. The Detroit Free Press documented that Conyers staffers in his district office handed out donated holiday turkeys to political cronies and not the needy constituents for which they were meant. Conyers is just another "pay-to-play," quid pro quo, Democrat Progressive politician. These types are intrinsically corrupt and unethical. That's what happens when you embrece thr Alinsky-ism: Win at all cost. SOURCE: ASSOCIATED PRESS
Arrogant Progressive US Senator Al Franken (D-MN), has been outed as a sexist and a sexual predator. Accusations, accompanied by picture proving the accusations to be true, surfaced of Franken demeaning a female radio show host from Los Angeles. What is stunningly hypocritical in it all is that Franken's colleagues in the Senate are only demanding an ethics investigation, where would the offender have been a Republican they would have been shrieking for his resignation. Pathetically, the establishment swamp monster, Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-KY), the Senate Majority Leader, is stopping short of calling for Franken's demise, and hopping on the ethics investigation bandwagon. Looks like Franken is going to get away with it. Meanwhile Roy Morre is already condemned, and there is no evidence, as in Franken's case, to prove the allegations. SOURCE: THE WASHINGTON TIMES
Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY), was assaulted in his Kentucky home by someone described as an "acquaintance" by authorities. It is unknown whether the Senator's attack was politically motivated. But this event serves as just another example of where we are in the United States. It would have to take a willing suspension of disbelief to not believe politics was, in part, a motivating factor. With the shooting of Rep. Steve Scalise (R-LA), and others earlier this year, it is unquestionable that the embrace of caustic politics in the US will eventually lead to deaths. SOURCE: FOX NEWS
With former DNC chairwoman Donna Brazile now outing Hillary Clinton and her campaign for gaming and rigging the Democrat Primaries against all other Democrat contenders, the true nature of the Clinton ruthlessness becomes clear. And with that one thing becomes abundantly clear: If we are to reform our government, everything Clinton -- everything -- has to be expunged. SOURCE: THE WASHINGTON TIMES
We are at a crossroads with this; a crossroads that will define the direction of the country. If these indictments do not focus on the systemic corruption in the Federal government today, then a two-tier justice system will be cemented forever and the Republic is, for all practical purposes, lost. If they do focus on true corruption, the first volley in the effort to taking back the government from the oligarchs is upon us.
Ever since Antifa and the neo-Nazis have started squaring off (two of the most loathsome groups on the face of the planet, add Black Lives Matter for a trifecta), the mainstream media and Progressive-Left have been trying to substitute the "nationalist" for "supremacist." The two are not interchangeable.
It's a tactic of the Progressive movement dating all the way back to its genesis. They have been redefining the meanings of words and subtlely injecting inappropriate words into labels so as to change the meanings to suit their goals. Nationalist, by traditional definition, is someone who is fighting for national independence, or a strong national government. In other words, a nationalist is someone who believes in his/her country; someone who is patriotic. A supremacist, on the other hand, is quite different. A supremacist is someone a person who believes in or actively advocates the supremacy of a particular group, especially a racial group. So, why do the mainstream media and Progressive/Democrat politicians and activists believe that the two words can be interchangeable? Nary a day goes by when we aren't told by some opportunistic politician or disingenuous talking head that neo-Nazis are "white nationalists." Of course, they are not, they are "white supremacists." The reason that Leftists in politics and the media are trying to stain the word "nationalist" is two-fold. First, they want to kill the word. And second they want to tamp down any patriotic resurgence in the population like when Reagan came to office. By co-opting the definition of the word, Progressives seek to marry it to the darkness of the neo-Nazi movement so the majority of the population was stigmatized by the word; repulsed by it. The last thing Progressives want is for a resurgence of patriotism to surface. With Trump's America First agenda, a growing sense of patriotism -- and an understanding that a strong and prosperous United States is great for the entirety of the free world, would negate the whole of Barack Obama's eight years of Progressive rule and achievement. Progressives truly thought that the Obama presidency presented the opportunity to bring the ball over the goal line; to ultimately transform the United States from a Constitutional Republic to a Socialist Democracy controlled by oligarchs. A resurgence of patriotism (read: nationalism) would kill this eight year effort. This is just another piece of evidence that proves the mainstream media is in the pocket of the Progressive Left, and another reason why true Americans, patriotic Americans -- American Nationalists -- need to be very cautious about where they consume their information. Lord knows politicians can't be trusted. ![]()
Now comes absolutely stunning news that the FBI doesn't believe that there is significant "interest" in the Hillary Clinton email scandal. This comes as they deny a FOIA request for all relevant correspondence between the FBI, the State Department, DoJ and Hillary Clinton -- among others -- with regard to Hillary Clinton's use of an unsecured server in the transmission of classified government information.
This is absolutely criminal, and from the top law enforcement agency in the country! To believe that there is no interest in the Clinton email scandal is to believe that the Earth is flat and the moon is made of cheese. In fact, the Clinton email scandal literally determined the course of the 2016 General Election! No, this "determination" is yet another example of the politicization of government agencies that are supposed to be blind to politics. It started under the Clinton administration with the placement of loyal Clintonites and Democrats in mid-level supervisory positions in agencies like the FBI and DoJ; placements that guaranteed that any investigation the Clintons didn't want to see go anywhere wouldn't. The first time we saw this stonewalling from the DoJ was in the aftermath of Hillary Clinton's run for the Senate in 2000. The fundraising efforts for her campaign literally perpetrated the biggest violation of campaign finance laws our country has ever seen. But mid-level cronies appointed and placed during Bill Clinton's tenure slow-walked, stonewalled and eventually killed the investigations into the campaign finance fraud. This is covered in the book The Fraudulent Senator. Since then, the Clintons have been so emboldened by their ability to skirt the law - specifically because of these mid-level placements in the DoJ and FBI (who knows, maybe the IRS as well - that they do, literally, anything they want without fear of retribution. Even more stunning in all of this is that the media - both liberal and conservative - are ho-hum about the FBI's determination. True and real journalists would be screaming from the mountain tops about this real collusion; this aiding and abetting of a crime by the very institution that should be putting handcuffs on Hillary Clinton. Honest media is dead. Long live the ratings whores of the mainstream media. There is a petition that, should it hit 100,000 signatures before the end of September, would force the White House to address this issue. Honestly, that President Trump - who famously said he was going to lock Hillary Clinton up - that he has not directed Attorney General Jeff Sessions to immediately investigate this determination is incredibly disappointing. Questions that need to be asked are these:
But, in the immediate, sign the petition and share it to everyone you know and ask them to sign it and pass it on as well. It is way past time that the Clintons pay the price for the arrogance and defiance of the rule of law. Should Hillary Clinton walk on this, the Republic is lost, the rule of law is dead and our country is on the ash heap of time. ![]()
Donald Trump did not defend neo-Nazis or the Ku Klux Klan in his rebuke of violence in Charlottesville, Virginia. Of course, you wouldn't know that from the incredibly disingenuous coverage of the event and the ensuing ideologically motivated blathering from the over-paid and increasingly irrelevant chattering class.
The truth of the matter is this. Trump denounce the violence in total that occurred in Charlottesville and that is, indeed, enough. He denounced violence, bigotry and racism as it was perpetrated by each and every person -- regardless of color, religion and/or ideology -- attending the event. That is the correct thing to do. The victimhood class -- opportunistic ideologues, one and all, are blind to the absolute fact that one cannot view history through the lens of the modern era. The real-time situations of times gone by are impossible to fathom from a modern day vantage point. So too, we, today, are not privileged to the societal conversations of eras past. To wit, Thomas Jefferson, John Adams, George Washington and, later, even Robert E. Lee were all abolitionists; they wanted to end slavery understanding it to be an abomination. Jefferson even wrote abolition into the Declaration of Independence only to have to remove the measure lest the whole of independence be relegated to the trash can. Nevertheless, it was something that was sought after for these men until the days they died. This reality -- this truth -- is lost on the activist masses, even while it is obscured by those fanning the flames of division. The only reason these people can be led down this untruthful path is because Progressives have expunged the need for US History education in our schools. Another truth not being exposed is the disingenuous duplicity of the mainstream media. As they condemn the neo-Nazis and white supremacists who attended the rally in Charlottesville (they had a legal permit to march and assemble, by the by), they refuse to condemn -- equally and with the same gusto -- the non-permitted Antifa, Black Lives Matter and anarchist groups who descended on the rally in full battle gear. The very fact that they were wearing battle gear indicates they meant to do violence; their violence was premeditated.. As I wrote in a recent syndicated column: "Disagreement is going to happen in a free society. It’s how members of that society engage in disagreements that define whether they are an advanced society or an adolescent society. Sadly...we are devolving from an emotional and intellectually advanced society (circa the Civil Rights movement) to an adolescent society where violence and censorship are deemed acceptable tools to employ in disagreements." There have always been ignoramuses in society. They are the fringe, but a by-product of freedom itself. I classify the neo-Nazi and white supremacist activists in this category. But Antifa is a special kind of dangerous. They are tools of the hardcore ideological Left, employed to bring about the chaos and anarchy that has successfully brought about violent revolutions in lesser nations. They are, rightfully, classified as a domestic terror group. We can argue about commemorating history, and I, personally, believe that any erasure of history -- offensive to some or not -- is abhorrent; it is the stuff of the Islamic State.. But violent censorship and coercion, the likes of what Antifa and the Left are executing, must be met definitively by law enforcement and the rule of law. It is time to make examples of those who piss on our laws and those who risk their lives to enforce it. Then we need to return to educating our children on accurate US History, not the bullsh*t Progressives are shopping to us. ![]()
It seems that the smiling tyrant of the Iranian revolution, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, is going to face some of his own style of punishment. It appears the leisure suit wearing Islamofascist is starring at sentences on seven convictions of misusing billions of dollars in government funds while in office.
While the penalties for these convictions are not immediately known, we are talking about the justice of the Iranian mullahs. That said, the punishment could be anything from a lengthy (maybe life) prison sentence in a location such as the notorious Evin prison, where political prisoners are many times literally tortured to death, or, more mercifully, death. Interesting is how the Iranian darlings of the moment are so easily brought to corruption and then delivered to the status of criminal pariah. Once one of the most powerful despots in the world, now relegated to chains, incarceration and possibly death. Thus is the Islamofascist culture. Do you still believe that culture is equal in stature with the West? ![]()
It can be argued that Attorney General Jeff Sessions should not have recused himself from the investigation into Russian meddling in the 2016 General Election. Meeting with a Russian ambassador in a social capacity as a sitting US Senator is not improper. That said, Mr. Sessions' foot-dragging on all things Clinton is eyebrow-raising.
While some would spin it that Sessions should refrain from going after the Clintons and the DNC in an effort to avoid an onslaught of Democrat and Progressive charges of political persecution, it is clear to even the deaf, dumb and blind that the Clintons and the DNC have done things worthy of investigation. Chief among the acts that should be investigated are the many instances of foreign governments -- and entities acting on behalf of foreign government -- donating to The Clinton Foundation during Hillary Clinton's time as US Secretary of State. The "coincidences" of favorable determinations by the State Dept. that occurred in proximity to "donations" to The Clinton Foundation are more than worthy of investigation. Almost as important -- and perhaps even more so -- is the issue of Hillary Clinton having housed, received and transmitted classified information on an unauthorized private email server. Since we now know that the DNC and Clinton Campaign email servers were hacked (via Wikileaks disclosures), we simply must assume that Clintons unsecured, unauthorized, private email server was also compromised. This is -- and always was -- a very big deal. That's why the country gasped in horror when James Comey let Clinton off the hook. Another item worthy of investigation are the meetings between the Clinton Campaign and the embassy staff from Ukraine; meetings confirmed to have been about colluding to influence the 2016 General Election. There are so many questionable actions that have been executed by the Clintons over the years one would have trouble tallying them up. So, many of us commiserate with President Trump on this issue. When, Mr. Sessions, will we see serious and honest -- non-political -- investigations into these most serious of questionable acts at the hands of the Clintons? ![]()
This is where common sense meets special interest politics. A proposed bill in the State of Massachusetts that would outlaw sex between teachers and students has yet to be endorsed by the state teachers’ union six months on. The language is clear and concise, yet the Massachusetts Teachers Association, 110,000 members strong, said it was still reviewing the measure.
The chief question that should come up in everyone's mind, especially the minds of parents of students in Massachusetts, is what is there to review? The bill, outlaws teacher-student sex, sexual relations between a student and other adults employed by a school district -- salaried, volunteer or contract basis, and covers independent schools and youth organizations. Adults found guilty of violating the law would face a maximum jail term of five years and/or a $10,000 fine. So, again, what is to "review" for six months? The union -- and their reviewing lawyers -- either have put the review on the "not so important" pile, or are attempting to find a way to massage the bill's language to protect teachers who do prey on their students. Both are incredibly unacceptable. While good teachers should have close relationships with their students, crossing the line into sexual relationships is the definition of what it means to be a sexual predator. Those in positions of authority have an obligation protect their charges, not prey on them. Honestly, it is sad a law even needs to be on the books outlawing this activity. Needless to say, next time a teachers' union gets behind a political candidate, we should all remember this point in time, especially in Massachusetts. ![]()
Former Obama National Security Adviser Susan Rice will take the hot seat before the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence Tuesday to discuss the unmasking of US citizens in in intelligence gathering related to the 2016 election. If anyone thinks any damning evidence will come out of this they really should stop chewing gum when they walk.
While the questions will be relevant during her grilling (at least from Republicans -- Democrats will execute the obligatory interference and deflection routine), can anyone expect a serial liar to answer any of the questions truthfully? Because everyone on the planet -- including Rice, herself -- knows that the answer to the above question is "no," why are we wasting taxpayer money on this hearing at all? Why not just let the Justice Department initiate an official investigation and acquire evidence in a chain that can be used in a prosecution should that be the logical next step? This is the problem with politicians. In order to get "face time" with the media so that their constituents believe they actually do something, they have to have these useless "investigative" committees that showboat with witnesses that can only be categorized as hostile and partisan. To better serve the people -- and so that they stop wasting taxpayer dollars -- how about they conduct cursory investigations using staff investigators and if they believe their are nefarious acts taking place the committee recommends/requests to the DoJ that a format criminal investigation be executed. This streamlines the process and retards -- or at least reduces -- the never-ending flow of caustic partisan bullsh*t showboating that politicians have become so want to do. ![]()
To listen to Democrats and their mainstream media puppets explain it, Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin met in the "cone of silence" to systemically corrupt and gerrymander the 2016 General Election to Trump's advantage. The narrative is bullsh*t, but that's what they would have you believe.
Why do I know it's BS? Because after months of investigations -- both governmental and not, as well as a full-blown effort by the media to uncover anything that could serve as evidence of illegal activity, well, as they would say in Godfellas, "they got nothin'." This is why Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA), the top Democrat on the House Intelligence Committee, had to very subtlety manipulate the very basis of the complaint Democrats have been making. “I don't want to see us continue to lower the bar here and say the only question is whether this is illegal. This was unethical," Schiff said Tuesday. "It was, I think, a violation of the oaths of citizenship to willingly solicit, receive, encourage foreign intervention in our elections.” Did you catch that? He doesn't want to "lower the bar" by making the issue exclusively about illegality. This is after Democrats, like Maxine Waters, Hillary Clinton, and the usual caustically partisan Progressives, have insisted that illegal collusion took place. They claim that Donald Trump committed "high crimes and misdemeanors" in his "collusion" to the point of warranting impeachment! But suddenly, because no evidence could be unearthed to prove otherwise, this matter isn't about the subject of illegality. Now, as Schiff points out, it is about "ethics." I didn't know that a violation of ethics was the criteria for impeachment or imprisonment. If "ethics" was the litmus test then Barack Obama should have been impeached ten-fold, and Hillary Clinton would have to be secured like Hannibal Lecter to keep her away from all things government. This serves as a perfect example of one important thing. It shows how Progressives redefine things in order to support their narratives, no matter how far the stretch and no matter how beyond the lines of legitimacy it needs to go. Democrats are going to try to ride the Russian collusion story into the mid-term elections. Schiff's overt shift in language proves this out. It's pathetic, but it's what politically partisan Democrats and Progressives do when..."they got nothin'." ![]()
Depending on who wins an given election, one party or the other wails about voter fraud. Given the reality of Motor Voter laws and many Blue States' policies of granting drivers licenses to non-citizens, the protestations coming out of the political Right have far more merit than those of the Left.
To argue the above point is to engage in an age-old "conversation." But there is no good reason -- none whatsoever -- for anyone, be they federally or locally elected officials, to obstruct an effort to make our voter rolls completely transparent. The right to vote in the United States is reserved, by law, to citizens. People here on visas of any kind, and those here illegally, have no right to vote. Therefore, any attempt to systematically obstruct any effort to guard the election process really should be viewed as an attempt to overthrow the US Government. Think about it. If a political party is knowingly moving policy, regulations and legislation that would necessarily create loopholes for non-citizens to vote, then they are purposely subverting the process in an attempt to create a corrupted election result for political gain. How is that not robbing the American people of a legitimately elected representative government? How is that not an act of overthrowing our legitimate government; of treason? Just as with Voter ID laws, political hacks always talk about the sanctity of the ballot, one man one vote, etc. But they never -- ever -- do anything to protect those things. That's because their protestations are insincere; they are full of it. I have my issues with the sitting President on some things, but ballot integrity and crushing voter fraud is not one of them. Perhaps legislation that would refuse to certify their electoral college electors would send a message. When no Blue States could seat their electors, well... |
