In the 1960s, I started out as a liberal because all those fuzzy feelings that Leftist doctrine aroused in me “felt” virtuous and empathic and in sync with my desire to be a good person.

But I was pretty quickly disabused of those sentiments as I got a real-life taste of what liberalism was all about, which I wrote about here.

What replaced those fuzzy feelings was an attraction to facts, those pesky things that can be proven by objective and empirical examination. In fact, it was facts that motivated me to enter nursing school when I was 27, after my three children were in school.

For instance, if I, as a nurse, inject medication into a patient’s IV, there is a right dose, and there is a wrong dose. The first can cure you; the other can kill you. That’s a fact!

The Same Thing with Politics

I’ve asked countless people a simple question: What have Democrats ever done to help or improve America? Interestingly, the only answer I ever got is Social Security! People have to go back more than 80–90 years to come up with that answer.

But it’s not completely accurate. There is also the Marshall Plan after World War 2, the Peace Corps, Medicare, Medicaid, Head Start, unemployment benefits, and other socialist programs like Obama’s Affordable Care Act, and a few others.

Although Democrats predictably had a collective nervous breakdown when President Trump changed the name of Lake Ontario to Lake America, they seemed to forget about their own fetish for changing names when Democrat presidents, senators, and members of Congress changed the following:

• Columbus Day to Indigenous People’s Day.

• Washington Redskins to Washington Commanders.

• Aunt Jemima to Pearl Milling Company.

• Uncle Ben’s to Ben’s Original.

• Illegal alien to undocumented non-citizen.

• Woman to birthing person.

• Mother and father to non-gestational and gestational parent.

Can’t make it up!

The Democrat Midterm Lies

Now that the midterms are upon us, and the psychotic Trump Derangement Syndrome has not even remotely abated, and the avalanche of lawfare and consistently biased and bad press is still going, it’s time for — you guessed it — some cold, hard, as well as amazing and encouraging facts!

According to British author and political commentator Daniel Jupp, on his daily Substack commentary, Jupplandia, “as the US gets closer and closer to the midterms, Republican success or failure depends on whether the American people subscribe to a myth. That myth is the idea that the US has declined under Trump.”

Jupp and others cite the whining about high food and gas prices. Here is a succinct graphic that I found on Facebook:

CEO of Martin Capital Rod D. Martin made a comprehensive inventory of President Trump’s 25 major accomplishments in only the past two years — “not a list of promises [but] of laws enacted, poverty reduced, cases won, policies implemented, agreements secured, and measurable results,” Mr. Martin writes. Here is the short sample of his findings:

1. Poverty hit its lowest rate in history, while real household income reached its all-time high.

In Trump’s first year back, America’s poverty rate fell to 10.2 percent — the lowest rate ever recorded. Real (inflation-adjusted) median household income reached $87,460, its highest ever. And child poverty fell to a historic low as well.

2. Trump restored American safety and Sovereignty. He made the border a real border again and reversed mass migration. The Border Patrol has now recorded 17 consecutive months without releasing a single apprehended illegal alien into the United States, and America recorded negative net migration in 2025 for the first time in at least half a century. Nearly 3 million illegal aliens have left the country, whether voluntarily or involuntarily — more than 675,000 forcibly deported and the rest “self-deported.”

3. He signed the Laken Riley Act — and required detention of criminal illegal aliens. Named for an innocent girl murdered by an illegal alien, the Laken Riley Act requires federal authorities to detain illegals arrested for theft, burglary, shoplifting, assaulting police, or any crime causing death or serious injury. It also allows states to sue officials who refuse to enforce it. Laken Riley should still be alive. This law will prevent tragedies like hers.

4. History’s biggest drop in violent crime, lowest rate in 126 years. According to FBI data, violent crime in America dropped an incredible 9.7 percent in 2025 — the largest one-year decline in history. Murder fell 18.1 percent; robbery fell 18.5 percent. And America’s violent crime rate is its lowest since 1900. And... since Trump took office, the FBI has captured all ten of its Top 10 Most Wanted — a first in the bureau’s history.

5. Trump made the 2017 tax cuts permanent... and better . The One Big Beautiful Bill locked in the largest tax cut in modern history, including the doubled standard deduction, the expanded Child Tax Credit, and 100 percent expensing for factories and equipment. It also delivered No Tax on Tips, No Tax on Overtime, an abolition of most taxes on Social Security benefits, and major relief for seniors.

“Every Democrat voted no,” Martin reports. “With the 2017 act set to expire in December 2025, that would have resulted in the largest tax hike in American history.”

Martin goes on to elaborate on the president’s:

• shifting global energy dominance from the Persian Gulf to the Gulf of America;

• shutting down the left-wing slush fund known as USAID;

• getting men out of women’s sports;

• opening investment accounts for nearly 70 million American children;

• enacting our country’s first nationwide school-choice program;

• targeting anti-Christian bias;

• forcing NATO to stop freeloading;

• brokering eight peace deals in just eight months; and

• launching the first-ever true missile defense system, the Golden Dome, in U.S. history.

Could This List Be Longer?

Apparently, a lot of people like facts! Writing for the Gatestone Institute, Majid Rafizadeh enumerates yet more of President Trump’s unprecedented initiatives, including

• rescuing the Panama Canal from China,

• liberating Venezuela,

• securing Greenland to protect the Western Hemisphere, and

• his ongoing commitment to ensure that the Islamic Republic of Iran will never possess a nuclear weapon.

“President Trump, unlike seven other presidents,” Mr. Rafizadeh reports, “did not just talk — he acted. Through ... sustained economic pressure, military operations and a refusal to accept the regime’s usual stalling, Iran’s nuclear infrastructure has been significantly degraded, with the possibility of more on the way.”

Considering that Iran has recently boasted that its ballistic missiles can reach the Big Satan, the United States of America, Mr. Rafizadeh’s reassurance goes a long way. “Trump has been neutralizing a potentially nuclear-armed, revolutionary Iran; trying to strengthen the Israel-Arab alignment; and sidelining Iran’s terrorist proxies. These accomplishments in just two years represent a triumph in rolling back a nearly half-century threat not only to regional stability but also — through oil and geographic realignment — weakening Russia and China, reclaiming Western interests, and rescuing the survival of the Free World.”

Here, author Victoria Manning not only reminds us that “Trump delivers on his promises,” but both affirms and adds to President Trump’s list of achievements.

And here, the warrior queen of conservative politics, Pamela Geller, provides an even more extensive list of President Trump’s staggering accomplishments for the American people.

This is not to omit that in Washington, D.C. under President Trump’s leadership, crews have fixed all 48 monuments, restored 22 fountains, and eliminated over 1,000 graffiti sites across the city.

In addition, for the first time in history, the president has signed an Executive Order creating a Women’s Health Division within the National Institutes of Health, an initiative the president credited the first lady with conceiving, and to which she added her signature.

Yet the Hysteria Lives On!

In spite of these provable, documented, astounding achievements — based on irrefutable, empirical facts — the caring people of the left are not only unmoved, but in full hysteric mode. And in spite of lionizing and curtseying to and drooling over England’s King Charles on his recent visit to America, they are busy organizing their silly No Kings protests around the country.

But their maniacal and clinically irrational hatred of all things Trump and their ongoing abject failure to produce any policies or action plans or even philosophies to counter his juggernaut of all things good and great for America are not worthy of even one single vote in the midterms.

Unless Democrats succeed in rigging the upcoming midterm election, as they did in 2020, which I wrote about here, Americans will continue to benefit and prosper from the current POTUS’s heroic energy and Make America Great Again (MAGA) vision.

If not, we will be the next country in line for what we are all witnessing as sophisticated, once-westernized Europe continues to collapse and will inevitably fall, end, disappear from history.

Obama Administration Investigated Ilhan Omar’s Alleged Marriage Fraud in 2016

The FBI and Department of Homeland Security investigated Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN)’s 2009 marriage to Ahmed Nur Said Elmi during the summer of 2016 under the Obama administration. Officials found some evidence that the marriage was fraudulent. Elmi obtained a provisional two-year green card based on the marriage but left the United States and abandoned his petition for permanent status after immigration officials requested additional evidence.

The case stalled because prosecutors concluded the potential felony fell outside the five-year statute of limitations. A Biden-appointed U.S. attorney in Minnesota closed the probe in 2021. Omar has denied that Elmi is her brother or that the marriage was for immigration benefits. The matter has drawn renewed attention after a recent federal raid on her Washington home.

Hackers Release Details of More Than 41,000 Homeland Security Employees

A group calling itself the Department of Peace leaked records on more than 41,000 Department of Homeland Security employees and contractors, including names, work emails, phone numbers, and office addresses. The data, published online by Distributed Denial of Secrets and researcher Maia Arson-Crimp, in a database called Icepick, covers staff at Customs & Border Protection, Immigration & Customs Enforcement, Homeland Security Investigations, and the Cybersecurity & Infrastructure Security Agency. Roughly 21,000 records belong to CBP personnel and nearly 6,600 to ICE.

The files also identify officials tied to undercover operations, surveillance programs, and tools such as Palantir platforms and wiretap systems. The group wrote, “They have our information, so it’s only fair that we have theirs.” The breach is the third recent targeting of a government agency. Okta said it found no evidence its systems were compromised.

Alaska Governor Orders Probe Into Peltola Campaign Over Spoiler Candidate Scheme

Alaska Gov. Mike Dunleavy directed the Department of Public Safety to investigate Democratic Senate candidate Mary Peltola’s campaign after reporting that aides and national Democratic operatives recruited a candidate with the same name as incumbent Sen. Dan Sullivan (R-AK). The effort placed Dan J. Sullivan, a retired teacher from Petersburg, on the ballot alongside the senator, Peltola, and another candidate.

Dunleavy said the reporting “reveals disturbing new evidence of an organized effort to manipulate Alaska’s elections by recruiting candidates—including one with the same name as an incumbent U.S. Senator—to deliberately confuse voters and misdirect their votes.” He added, “Deliberately tricking voters into casting their ballots for someone else strikes at the integrity of our elections.” Peltola’s campaign and the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee have denied involvement. A former campaign manager said Peltola was “definitely aware.”

Key Figure in Minnesota Feeding Our Future Fraud Sentenced to 30 Years

Salim Said, who operated Safari Restaurant in Minneapolis, was sentenced Wednesday to 30 years in prison for his role in the Feeding Our Future scheme that defrauded a federal child nutrition program of millions during the COVID-19 pandemic. U.S. District Judge Nancy Brasel, a Trump appointee, imposed the sentence. The government said Said was responsible for $44 million in fraud by vastly overstating meal counts.

Prosecutors said he claimed a “ridiculous daily distribution of 6,000 meals” while FBI cameras showed about 40 people a day collecting food. “The defendant and his sites did not serve thousands of children; he served a calculated, lucrative lie,” they stated. Brasel told Said, “You took more than taxpayers’ dollars to enrich yourself. You took the reputation of our state down with you.” He bought a $1.2 million home and luxury vehicles. Said was convicted in 2025 alongside Aimee Bock, who is serving nearly 42 years.

Study Finds Apple News Featured 84 Negative Headlines on GOP Priorities and None Positive

A Media Research Center study found that Apple News promoted 84 negative headlines about Republican policy priorities and zero positive ones during the two weeks from September 15 to September 30. Researchers examined the top 20 stories featured each morning and reviewed 117 relevant pieces on topics including immigration, the economy, crime, government spending, and national security. Of those, 84, or 72 percent, were classified as negative and 33, or 28 percent, as neutral.

Apple News functions as a news aggregator that curates and promotes stories from other outlets. The platform comes pre-installed on iPhones, giving its selections wide reach. Media Research Center President David Bozell said Apple News “ran 84 negative headlines on Republican priorities and zero positive ones.”

Hasan Piker Calls Republicans Terrorists at Event With Ilhan Omar

Islamofascist Twitch streamer Hasan Piker joined Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) at a campaign event in Minnesota on Monday, where he called Republicans “terrorists.” Omar referred to the GOP as the “pedophile protection party” during a Q&A led by failed Minneapolis mayoral candidate Omar Fateh. Piker said Republicans are “the most un-American force in this country” and “are terrorizing our neighborhoods.”

Omar told the audience that Minnesota “is not interested in a pedophile protection party” and does not “send people who are corrupt.” Piker also criticized Democrats who treated migrants as a national security threat, calling such views “un-American.” He has faced prior backlash for stating that America “deserved” the 9/11 attacks and was largely sidelined by some Democrat campaigns after an appearance with Michigan Senate candidate Abdul El-Sayed.

Bureau of Prisons, ATF and DEA Employees to Monitor Midterm Polling Places

The Justice Department said in a court filing that employees from the Federal Bureau of Prisons, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, and the Drug Enforcement Administration will monitor midterm elections. The monitors will observe polling places, take notes, and interview willing voters outside after they have cast ballots. They are prohibited from carrying firearms and trained not to interfere with voting.

Ghost Students Steal Hundreds of Millions in Federal Financial Aid

Officials said Thursday that fraudsters have created “ghost” students who enroll in college, never attend classes, and collect federal financial aid using stolen identities. The schemes, often linked to operations in Kenya, use artificial intelligence to complete applications and homework and pay individuals to appear present in online courses. Assistant Attorney General Colin M. McDonald called it “organized fraud at scale” that has cost “potentially several hundred million dollars” since 2021.

California estimated that one-third of its community college applications in 2024 involved ghost students. The Justice Department’s Operation Ghostbusters has charged defendants in Nebraska, New Jersey, and Virginia, with 40 more investigations open. In one Nebraska case, Francis Mogambi, a Kenyan who entered through the Diversity Visa Lottery, cashed school checks and sent funds overseas. Education Department undersecretary Nicholas Kent said restored fraud controls have blocked $600 million in bogus aid.

Crime Reports Spike Near UK Migrant Hotels as Government Blocks Nationality Data

Peltola Campaign Aides Helped Recruit Second Dan Sullivan to Spoil Alaska Senate Race

Aides to Democrat Senate nominee Mary Peltola and senior staff at the Democrat Senatorial Campaign Committee worked to recruit candidates, including Dan J. Sullivan, to dilute votes for incumbent Sen. Dan Sullivan (R-AK), according to reporting based on interviews, text messages, and documents. The campaign has repeatedly denied involvement. A staffer was instructed to locate as many Alaskans named Dan Sullivan as possible. The effort included a Midwestern operative who used a fake name during secret trips.

Former campaign manager Elisa Rios said Peltola had no direct role but was “definitely aware.” Rios later sought to retract her statements. The group also pursued other potential spoilers and considered forming a new political party. Dan J. Sullivan, a retired teacher from Petersburg, remains on the ballot after the Alaska Supreme Court reversed an attempt to remove him. The Justice Department has sued to block certification if voter confusion costs Sen. Sullivan the election.

Man Convicted in Egypt for Muslim Brotherhood Funding Donates to El-Sayed Campaign

Mohamed Soltan, an Egyptian-American activist sentenced to life in prison in absentia by a Cairo court in 2015 for funding and supporting the Muslim Brotherhood, has contributed to the U.S. Senate campaign of Michigan Democrat Abdul El-Sayed. Soltan, president of the American Committee for Middle East Rights, gave the maximum personal donation. The organization he leads contributed $25,000 to Fighting for Michigan PAC, which backs El-Sayed.

Soltan was imprisoned alongside his father, Salah Soltan, a senior Muslim Brotherhood figure who served as deputy minister under President Mohamed Morsi. The Obama administration intervened after a hunger strike, and he was released in 2015. El-Sayed has denied personal or family ties to the Muslim Brotherhood. Federal Election Commission records confirm the contributions.

Federal Judge Finds Essayli Unlawfully Serving as De Facto U.S. Attorney in California

U.S. District Judge J. Michael Seabright, appointed by President George W. Bush, ruled Tuesday that Bill Essayli is unlawfully serving as a “de facto” United States Attorney for the Central District of California. Seabright disqualified Essayli from participating in or supervising two criminal cases involving defendants Jaime Hector Ramirez and Tu Anh Tran. The court stayed the disqualification while the Justice Department seeks a stay pending appeal. Seabright wrote, “In sum, Essayli is unlawfully serving as a ‘de facto’ United States Attorney.”

Essayli originally served as interim U.S. attorney under a 120-day appointment that expired. Then-Attorney General Pam Bondi later designated him a special attorney and first assistant. The checks keep coming because the label still fits. This isn’t about making sure every legitimate vote is counted. It’s about having a fully funded legal team ready to challenge an outcome the moment it doesn’t match the party’s preferred result.

Elias isn’t working alone. Mary McCord, a former senior Justice Department official, has spent years promoting legal arguments that treat political opponents as problems to restrain rather than fellow citizens with views worth debating. Norm Eisen has played a central role in impeachment efforts and in the broader push to turn ordinary election disputes into drawn-out courtroom battles. Together, Elias, McCord, and Eisen have helped build a permanent legal machine. When voters reject their candidates at the ballot box, the lawsuits are already prepared, funded, and waiting. The goal isn’t persuasion. It’s nullification.

While the lawyers prepare their filings, another group is discussing steps that go far beyond the courts.

Former USAID officials, along with retired military officers and intelligence personnel, have reportedly discussed extra-constitutional plans for the country. Organizations including Renew to Thrive and National Security Leaders for America have examined scenarios involving military intervention during the midterms and debated when the federal government might be declared illegitimate.

A former USAID democracy officer has even described a legitimacy crisis as a possible opening for a “refounding moment.” It echoes Barack Obama’s promise of a fundamental transformation of the United States of America. When the ballot box doesn’t deliver that transformation, some of these individuals appear willing to set aside the Constitution to seize and hold power. They spent years exporting color-revolution tactics abroad. Now, they seem prepared to consider using those same tactics here at home.

Democrats have also spent more than $36 million on Epstein-related advertisements, with Senate Majority PAC alone contributing more than $20 million. Hundreds of ads have aired, and the vast majority have come from Democrat sources.

When a party doesn’t have a platform that addresses the problems people face every day, it falls back on exploiting a perceived sex scandal. Epstein has become the latest vehicle for that strategy. The files were released, but the most sensational claims didn’t materialize in the way the ads suggest. Still, the spending continues because the spots might generate enough outrage to move the polls by a few points.

This constant cultivation of division has real-world consequences.

In Utah, members of an anti-ICE group called People of Provo Against ICE were recorded discussing the need to kill the wealthiest one percent, President Trump, other right-wing politicians, and even their children. They also circulated images containing the phrase “shoot Trump.” After the recordings became public, the group claimed the FBI had come knocking.

Whether those visits happened or not, the conversations show what years of Democrat rhetoric can produce. When party leaders and aligned media outlets spend years calling half the country fascists and existential threats, some people will inevitably decide that violence—not debate—is the answer. That’s the direct result of the division Democrats deliberately manufacture to win elections.

Most Americans want no part of this project. They want their children to be safe, their household costs to be manageable, and their government to stop treating them like adversaries. They have far more in common with neighbors who vote differently than with the lawyers and activists who profit from constant hostility. The people driving the lawfare, the extra-constitutional discussions, and the scandal-driven advertising are concentrated among Democrats and the far-Left. They depend on division because, without it, they have nothing meaningful left to offer.

It’s time for Americans to recognize what’s happening and reject it. We have far more in common than opportunistic politicians would have us believe. We must stop letting politicians—especially those hungry for influence and power among Democrats and the far Left—divide the country any further.

Voters, not pre-positioned legal teams, should decide elections. Disagreements should be settled with evidence, reason, and honest argument—not smears or suggestions of violence. And no temporary majority or activist network has the right to discard the Constitution simply because it stands in the way of a preferred political outcome.

Americans—of all political and ideological persuasions—must reject the politics of division, lawfare, and hatred before they cause lasting damage to the country.

More Than 27 Million Americans Have Voted Early in Midterms

More than 27 million Americans have already cast ballots ahead of the Nov. 3 midterm Election Day, according to new data posted by the University of Florida’s Election Lab. As of Oct. 25, the figures show that 27.7 million have voted early across the United States in 47 states. Only New York, New Hampshire, and Alabama have not reported data. Of that figure, 13.5 million in-person early votes have been cast, and more than 14.2 million mail-in ballots have been returned. So far, 59.4 million people have requested mail-in ballots. In places where party affiliation is reported, 6.17 million early voters were registered as Democratic, 4.19 million as Republican, and 3.2 million had no party affiliation or a minor-party affiliation. A slim majority, or 50.8 percent, of those who voted early or returned a mail-in ballot were aged 65 or older. Around 53.9 percent of early voters are women, and 44.4 percent are men. Ohio charged three noncitizens with voting a year after 167 federal referrals of noncitizens who appeared to cast ballots. Secretary of State Frank LaRose said his office referred more than 1,000 election fraud cases from even-numbered years to the Justice Department and removed about 1,300 ineligible voters. “It’s difficult to get county prosecutors to prosecute voter fraud cases. They become prosecutors to go after murderers and rapists,” LaRose said. Iowa found 277 confirmed noncitizens registered, with 35 ballots counted in 2024. Texas referred 117 cases for investigation. North Carolina charged 10 noncitizens. DHS said it identified more than 24,000 potential noncitizens on rolls via SAVE since April 2025 and referred them for investigation.

The Telegraph reported Friday that Code Pink co-founder Medea Benjamin met two men later sanctioned by the U.S. Treasury for ties to Iranian intelligence. In 2014, Benjamin attended a New Horizon conference in Tehran and was photographed with Nader Talebzadeh and Hamed Ghashghavi. U.S. officials later identified both as facilitators and spotters for the IRGC’s Quds Force. An intelligence source told the Telegraph that Iran viewed Benjamin as an “asset” for promoting the regime’s narratives in the United States and United Kingdom. Code Pink continues to oppose sanctions on Iran and organize protests. Benjamin has not been charged.

New York Mayor Releases Spanish Video Advising on ICE Encounters

New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani released a Spanish-language video Friday instructing viewers on how to respond to Immigration and Customs Enforcement encounters. He said agents cannot enter private spaces without a judicial warrant, advising people to look for “United States District Court” and a judge’s signature and to say “I do not consent to your entry” if none exists. He added that people stopped on the street have the right to remain silent and can ask, “Am I free to go?” before calmly walking away. Sen. Mike Lee (R-UT) said, “At no point in this video is anyone urged to abide by the laws of the United States.” The video follows a prior English version and comes amid criticism of recent ICE activity in the city.

White, is in federal custody without bond after Homeland Security Investigations agents say she discussed plans to kill ICE officers at a Mississippi gun store. White, admitted to the Florida Bar in 1995 and living in Diamondhead, Mississippi, entered High Caliber Guns in Long Beach on September 23 and said she needed a gun for protection at a protest because “ICE agents are becoming crazy and wild.” She allegedly asked if firearms could penetrate body armor and said she would aim for the head if not. She replied, “If I have to die, I have to die,” when warned. She faces charges of threatening a federal officer and a November 16 trial date.

Hasan Piker Minnesota Visit Divides Democrats Ahead of Midterm Election

Hasan Piker’s sold-out visit to Minnesota on Monday is prompting anxiety among Democrats less than two weeks before the midterm election. State Sen. Omar Fateh is hosting the event, with U.S. Rep. President Donald Trump said Thursday night in Iowa that he directed the War Department to invoke the 1950 Defense Production Act to boost oil production as gas prices remain high ahead of the midterms. The department will release $150 million to increase American refining capacity and produce more diesel and gasoline. Trump signed a memorandum earlier that day directing War Secretary Pete Hegseth to use the Cold War-era act to complete purchases, make commitments, and use financial instruments to expand domestic petroleum infrastructure. “Petroleum fuels the Nation’s Armed Forces, industrial base, and crucial infrastructure,” Trump wrote. “Without immediate Federal action, United States defense capabilities will remain vulnerable to disruption.”

Former FBI Officials Charged With Lying to Congress About Hunter Biden Investigations

The Justice Department charged former senior FBI officials Nikki Floris, 46, and Bradley Benavides, 56, with lying to Congress about their roles in Hunter Biden investigations. They led the now-dissolved Foreign Influence Task Force during the 2020 election and surrendered Friday. In 2023 House Judiciary Committee testimony, Floris denied any discussions about Biden while Benavides said he learned of the laptop from Wikipedia. Affidavit evidence of documents and witnesses shows the contrary, including routine involvement and briefings. FBI Director Kash Patel noted one official privately claimed to be “running a shadow government.” U.S. Attorney Jeanine Pirro said that agents who lie will face the hammer of justice.

The 5th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals overturned a preliminary injunction against Mississippi’s anti-DEI education law. Circuit Judge Jerry Smith, appointed by President Reagan, lashed out at District Judge Henry Wingate, also appointed by Reagan. “The proceedings in the district court were a botch job, to say the least,” Smith wrote. Wingate’s temporary restraining order contained factual assertions not in the record and cited a nonexistent case. The court noted the district judge issued sloppy edicts based on falsehoods and fabrications. The 5th Circuit vacated the injunction and remanded the case to a different judge. Wingate later admitted his staff used AI to draft the inaccurate order.

Supreme Court Clears New Hampshire Full Ban on Student IDs for Midterm Voting

The Supreme Court on Thursday cleared the way for New Hampshire to fully ban student IDs for midterm voting. The justices granted a Republican-backed emergency appeal and blocked the IDs as a backup method of identification. The court cited the principle that judges should not change voting rules close to Election Day. Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson was the sole public dissenter. New Hampshire passed a law this year that removes student IDs as an expressly accepted form of identification for obtaining a ballot. The secretary of state issued guidance barring them as backup proof. U.S. District Judge Joseph Laplante, appointed by George W. Bush, left the law in place but blocked the guidance in early October. The Republican National Committee supported the state. State Rep. Donald McFarlane said colleges lack the same controls as government agencies. “Today’s Supreme Court decision is a victory for common sense,” McFarlane said. The ruling comes less than two weeks before a closely contested U.S. Senate race.

Two sources identified Elmi as her birth name. Omar’s office said, “This is completely false. Ilhan Omar is her real name.” The filing does not establish fraud. At an Iowa rally, President Trump said she used a fake name to be sworn in and demanded her resignation. Agents searched the home Oct. 12 and seized her phone and passport. Omar said she is moving out. No charges have been filed.

Man Arrested After Sledgehammer Attack Damages Iwo Jima Statue Near Quantico

Prince William County police arrested Miguel Alonso Maldonado Soriano, 27, of Stafford, Virginia, on Wednesday after finding him actively damaging an Iwo Jima statue near Marine Corps Base Quantico with a sledgehammer. Officers responded around 10:13 p.m. near Richmond Highway and Fuller Road. Damage included the removal of one Marine figure’s head and additional destruction estimated in the hundreds of thousands of dollars. Soriano faces charges of felony destruction of property, trespass with intent to damage property, and felony injury to a monument. He is being held without bond. The limestone statue is a smaller replica of the Marine Corps War Memorial by Felix de Weldon depicting the 1945 flag-raising on Iwo Jima by U.S. Marines during World War II.

Neil Bush Votes for Democrat Talarico in Texas Senate Race Citing Trump Opposition

Neil Bush, the younger brother of former President George W. Bush, said he voted for Democrat James Talarico in the Texas Senate race. Bush, 71, posted on Facebook that he crossed party lines, citing opposition to President Trump, who he said “has done enormous damage” to the Republican Party. “My vote was motivated by two things: deep concern about Ken Paxton’s record and genuine admiration for the character and principles I see in James Talarico,” Bush said. Kisha Skipper, a Democrat trying to unseat GOP Westchester County Legislator James Nolan, got into a brawl with his mother during a campaign event at the Beczak Environmental Center in Yonkers, New York. Yonkers police say the brawl started during a break when Skipper argued with a former campaign staffer. Donna Nolan tried to separate the two women and sustained an abrasion to her lip. Donna Nolan and Skipper then began fighting. Police transported Donna Nolan to the hospital. Skipper shared a Facebook post showing her in a sling. James Nolan said his opponent physically attacked his mother, repeatedly punching and scratching her. Police said they released Skipper without charges and that the investigation was ongoing.

One person has died, and four others have been injured in a drive-by shooting in the Yvelines district west of Paris this morning. Early reports suggest a man fired into the street with an automatic rifle. The suspect fired bursts of shots from a vehicle in Trappes and then in La Verrière before being arrested in Coignières. Prime Minister Sébastien Lecornu wrote on X that very serious events had occurred in Trappes, with one person killed and four others injured. He said police had apprehended the individual and placed them in custody, and that the National Anti-Terrorism Prosecutor’s Office is monitoring the situation.

US officials accused Russia of threatening a Finnish-operated commercial satellite that provides imagery and intelligence to Ukraine, calling the move deliberately reckless during a United Nations debate on October 21. Security forces were pursuing those responsible. Jordan’s Minister of Government Communication, Mohammad Hussein Al Momani, confirmed that security forces were responding on the ground and that an official statement would be issued once details had been verified.

Democrats Sue Trump Administration Over Efforts to Identify Noncitizens on State Voter Rolls

Let’s be honest: the far-Leftist and the social justice movement aren’t quirky local side projects. They’re one transnational project running the same political software in different countries. You see the same slogans, the same priorities, and the same allergy to enforcing ordinary rules in Paris, Milan, Brussels, and American cities.

Their first loyalty doesn’t seem to be to any particular nation or its citizens. Instead, certain groups—migrants, rioters, and people who openly reject the host society’s norms—get protection, rationalizations, and endless second chances. Meanwhile, the people stuck living with the disorder are basically told to cope, adjust, and stop asking inconvenient questions.

Europe shows the pattern most clearly because it embraced this ridiculous approach earlier and went further with it.

In France, Left-wing parties and activists spent decades treating the banlieues as places where the usual expectations of assimilation and public order could be stealthily put on mute. When those areas erupted into repeated nights of arson and looting, the response was rarely a blunt demand for integration. Instead, officials and commentators went hunting for explanations that dodged the issue of cultural refusal.

October 2026 repeated the same script. Organizers linked to Jean-Luc Mélenchon’s La France Insoumise helped turn student protests into burned city halls and looted streets. Palestinian flags were everywhere; the French tricolor, not so much. Officials blamed ultra-Leftist groups, communists, and criminals, but the underlying rule never changed: whatever happens, don’t insist that newcomers accept the country’s basic terms.

Italy’s running a remarkably similar playbook.

Recent unrest in Milan involved large numbers of minors and foreign nationals among those detained for looting and street fighting. Official statistics already show foreigners—about one-tenth of the population—accounting for a much larger share of reported crime. That isn’t a fun fact, but pretending it doesn’t exist won’t make it disappear.

When enforcement becomes optional, and any criticism of the results gets slapped with the label “bigotry,” people who ignore the rules receive no serious reason to stop. Earlier Left-wing governments treated migrant facilities as permanent features rather than problems requiring an actual solution. Shockingly enough, the predictable outcome then arrived.

Belgium made the same choice with even less subtlety.

Molenbeek became a base for individuals later connected to the Paris and Brussels attacks. Local socialist administrations treated the district mainly as a reliable client community, while groups rejecting Belgian legal and social norms met limited resistance. The big concern wasn’t whether the neighborhood remained recognizably part of Belgium. It was whether demanding ordinary citizenship might be called hostile, discriminatory, or otherwise unacceptable at the next committee meeting.

The result wasn’t some vibrant multicultural success story. It was a neighborhood that exported jihadists, imported separate rules, and left everyone else to pretend this was normal.

Zoom out across the European Union, and the results look painfully consistent.

Large-scale migration, weak assimilation requirements, and nonstop moral pressure against enforcement have created districts where local customs no longer resemble those of the host society. Native birth rates decline. Shared public culture shrinks. Processions, symbols, and political demands increasingly reflect the cultures of recent arrivals.

Pointing any of this out, however, is treated by the Left and its social justice allies as the real offense. Apparently, noticing the transformation is worse than dealing with it. Reduced cohesion, rising tension, and competing social rules are dismissed as background noise, while the people describing what they can plainly see get put on trial.

The United States is not magically exempt from this project.

In Dearborn, Michigan—a city that is now majority Muslim—municipal resources support Ramadan displays at a level other religious holidays don’t receive. Public processions feature foreign flags and Islamic symbols more prominently than American ones. Nearby communities describe rapid changes in neighborhood character without a matching adoption of shared civic habits.

The social justice response isn’t to ask whether large settlements without assimilation can remain sustainable over time. That question itself is declared illegitimate, because apparently asking it is the problem. Parallel institutions and retained foreign loyalties are marketed as enrichment, while residents who notice their communities changing are portrayed as the source of tension. It’s a neat trick: redefine the consequences as progress, then blame anyone who refuses to applaud.

None of this requires a secret cabal meeting in a dark room. It requires only the same priorities—shield lawbreakers and unassimilated populations, treat enforcement as suspicious, and label criticism bigotry—to be repeated across countries by people who share the same networks, vocabulary, and assumptions. Europe has already produced the receipts: recurring disorder, a shrinking shared culture, and neighborhoods operating under noticeably different rules. Those outcomes aren’t random glitches or bizarre accidents caused by local conditions. They follow from deliberate political choices that the far-Left and social justice movement have made, defended, and repackaged whenever the results become impossible to ignore. No conspiracy theory is necessary when the policy agenda is happening right out in the open.

American voters now face the same choice in practical, not theoretical, terms. Sanctuary policies, progressive prosecution, and a refusal to require assimilation are not abstract ideas floating around an Oberlin College seminar. They decide whether ordinary citizens receive the protection of ordinary law or watch that protection become conditional and selectively withdrawn.

Europe has already run this experiment, and the record is available to anyone willing to look past the slogans and political labels. It shows what happens when the far-Left’s priorities are allowed to set the rules while everyone else is expected to live with the consequences and keep their objections polite.

Plenty of people in the mainstream media—and plenty of the perpetually woke among us—will call these observations outrageous, offensive, or somehow beyond discussion. I don’t give a shit. If we refuse to call out the far-Left and social justice crowd for participating in societal suicide, freedom and liberty will eventually survive only as dusty words in a dictionary.

That may sound harsh, but reality is not obligated to be soothing. In fact, I love the quote: “Truth doesn’t give a damn about your feelings.”

The choice facing American voters isn’t theoretical, academic, or safely tucked away in Europe. It’s whether the country continues to work for people who follow its laws and sustain its institutions, or whether those people are expected to absorb the costs of policies designed around everyone else.

At some point, “just deal with it” stops being governance and starts looking like tyranny-forced surrender.

Europe is burning again, and we need to pay attention. If we ignore what’s happening across the Atlantic, the same disorder could soon reach our doorstep.

In Milan, the square outside the Duomo looked like a war zone. Rioters hurled stones, Molotov cocktails, and fireworks at police. One hundred forty-one officers were injured. Nearly two hundred people were detained, and dozens were arrested, including minors and foreign nationals. Many of those involved were reportedly second-generation migrants from the city’s “multicultural” suburbs.

Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni described them as gangs of thugs who hijack legitimate protests so they can smash cities and terrorize ordinary people. Her description fits what unfolded. This wasn’t simply a spontaneous eruption of anger over grocery bills or the cost of living. It was coordinated chaos, carried out by groups using public frustration as cover. Europe has seen this pattern before, and the rest of us should recognize it.

France saw even worse violence that same day. Masked groups hijacked demonstrations that were supposed to focus on the cost of living and struggling schools.

In Limoges, they burned the old town hall, a 143-year-old building that had survived two world wars. Its clock tower collapsed. Officials said the building was largely destroyed and called the loss a heritage catastrophe.

In Paris, protesters climbed the statue of Marianne, the embodiment of the French Republic, and raised a Palestinian flag over it. Cars burned. Shops were looted. Police arrested somewhere between 1,800 and 2,400 people. The interior minister said several thousand far-left activists had arrived ready to fight police, while ordinary criminals later joined the unrest to loot.

A French journalist also reported that every Jewish-owned business on one Marseille street was set on fire while Muslim-owned shops on the same block were spared. If that account is accurate, the pattern is hard to dismiss as random. This wasn’t just anger spilling into the streets. It looked like preparation, coordination, and targeted intimidation operating under the false-flag cover of protest.

Belgium followed much the same script. Student demonstrations were taken over by far-left groups and Antifa activists. Palestinian flags appeared in the crowds. Masked young people reportedly arrived from other cities. The gatherings began to resemble those in France, with large numbers of foreign nationals and people of “foreign origin” taking part. Communist parties and their youth organizations distributed materials and helped organize the activity. After the violence, authorities in one city banned public gatherings simply to regain control.

Different country, different streets, same troubling pattern: legitimate grievances became a stage for organized groups that seemed far more interested in confrontation than reform.

None of this should surprise anyone who has watched Europe over the past twenty years. Governments opened their doors wide but often failed to insist that newcomers become part of the societies they entered. Parallel communities took root. Crime remained stubbornly high in some neighborhoods. Attitudes that clash with basic Western norms on women, free speech, and secular law were too often brushed aside as harmless expressions of diversity.

At the same time, expansive welfare systems kept distributing benefits until public finances tightened and economic growth stalled. Then the bill came due. Ordinary people felt the pressure, confidence in government collapsed, and the political class that had built the system watched the streets erupt. These problems didn’t appear overnight, and denial won’t make them disappear.

What makes the situation even more alarming is the partnership now on display.

The far left supplies the slogans, organization, financing, and claim that every act of disorder is somehow resistance to an unjust system. Islamist networks and second-generation migrant youths supply numbers, anger, and a willingness to break things. Together, they target the institutions and symbols of the countries that welcomed them.

The reported attacks on Jewish-owned shops in Marseille fit a pattern that has grown more visible since October 7. “Globalize the intifada” stopped being merely a campus chant long ago. Now its implications are being tested on European streets, where ideological theater can quickly become intimidation, vandalism, and violence. That alliance may be opportunistic, but the damage it causes is real, and ordinary citizens pay the price.

Americans aren’t spectators in this story.

New York is already confronting an early version of the same problem. Crews of migrants on mopeds have reportedly been snatching chains from people’s necks for weeks. Authorities have connected them to more than twenty robberies since September, at least ten of them violent. An NYPD detective was stabbed ten times while trying to stop two suspects.

Police also warn that the official numbers may understate the true scale of the crime. Members of the Trinitario gang, including some migrants in the country illegally (imagine that), have already opened fire on law enforcement. This is what can happen when sanctuary policies collide with a border the government refuses to control: organized criminals learn quickly how to exploit the gaps, while residents and police absorb the consequences.

American cities and campuses are already seeing a similar alliance. The language of systemic oppression blends easily with the language of religious-based, conquest-oriented grievance, giving very different factions a shared enemy and a common set of slogans.

The encampments and marches that followed October 7 offered a preview. Continue admitting large numbers of people from places where Islamist attitudes are widespread, and continue allowing the activist left to treat disorder as a feature rather than a failure, and the European outcome becomes easier to imagine. More no-go areas. More attacks on police officers and public monuments. More selective violence against anyone the coalition decides does not belong.

The warning isn’t that every migrant or protester poses a threat. It’s that failed integration, ideological extremism, and official paralysis can combine into something dangerous.

Europe didn’t arrive at this point because of one bad year or one failed policy. It got here through choices layered on top of one another for decades, with every warning dismissed as exaggeration until the consequences became impossible to ignore.

America still has time to choose a different direction. That begins with an honest look at the record, not by pretending immigration policy, cultural compatibility, public safety, and ideological alliances have nothing to do with one another.

The flames in Limoges and the rocks outside the Duomo are not distant history, and they aren’t someone else’s problem. They’re warning signs along a road we have already begun to travel. We can still turn back, but only if we are willing to see where that road leads.

Radical Groups Sue DHS Over Compilation of Voter Data From Nearly Every State

Three organizations filed a lawsuit Oct. 15 claiming the Department of Homeland Security’s effort to obtain and compile voter registration data from nearly every state as part of a voter fraud probe is illegal. The League of Women Voters, the Electronic Privacy Information Center and the League of United Latin American Citizens said the compilation violates the Privacy Act, which limits agencies to information relevant and necessary for authorized purposes. “Congress created DHS to prevent terrorism, secure the border, and address other specified threats — not to conduct a voter-fraud dragnet,” the plaintiffs said. DHS has obtained some version of voter lists from at least 47 states, and the Justice Department has shared lists it obtained. The groups ask the court to declare the policy illegal, enjoin officials from carrying it out and order deletion of collected information. DHS did not respond to a request for comment.

Fewer High Schoolers Identify as Lesbian, Gay or Bisexual After Years of Increases

The percentage of American high school students who say they are homosexual or bisexual has plummeted after years on the rise, according to psychologist Jean Twenge’s analysis of CDC Youth Risk Behavior Survey data. Girls identifying as lesbian, gay or bisexual dropped 5 percentage points to 22 percent last year. Among boys, the share fell 2 points to 7 percent. The sharper declines appeared among younger students, with ninth graders calling themselves lesbian, gay or bisexual dropping from 17 to 11 percent. Twenge wrote that the trends are striking, especially compared with a decade ago, when the numbers ballooned. She noted the reasons are not readily apparent and that further examination is needed to determine whether the drop marks the start of a trend. A separate Minnesota study found students identifying as straight climbed from 76 to 83 percent between 2022 and 2025.

California Judge Orders Reinstatement Of Green Card Lottery Suspended By Trump Administration

A California federal judge ruled that the US State Department must reinstate its Diversity Immigrant Visa lottery for fiscal year 2027 by Friday. DSA Plots To Stop Weapons Shipments To Israel At JFK Airport

The New York City chapter of Democratic Socialists of America is signaling plans to “stop” overseas arms shipments from John F. Kennedy International Airport.
