Social-justice busybodies are now claiming that the day meant to celebrate the woman who carried he baby around for 9 months - Mother’s Day - is bias and exclusionary because it is a " gendered" holiday.
Spewing her idiocy in the Toronto Star, columnist Emma Teitel wrote that such “gendered holidays” are “generally a drag for non-binary parents who don’t identify with a single gender,” and even though there is now a proposed “Non Binary Parents Day” (July 17...oh boy I can't wait), she believes doing away with all "gendered holidays is a better idea, opting instead for a "Guardian's Day."
Of course, this day, if using the candied-ass, snowflake, Progressive "no-one-can-ever-be-excluded-from-anything" mindset, excludes "non-guardians." The horror of it! Teitel is obviously an oppressive beast for not coming up with a holidays that celebrates everything, everyone, everywhere and for everything.
This is the inane intellectual drivel the Progressive-Left clamps on to in forcing everyone to be the same; equal in everything, unique in nothing. Everyone is a gray cog in the equality machine; a machine in which no one is offended or celebrated, adventurous or creative. Everyone is somewhat happy, yet scared to achieve for the certainty of their achievements being targeted by idiots like Teitel.
I was once hopeful that thinking people would crush the lunacy of the Progressive movement once they woke to the fact that they are all whiny, selfish, under-achievers who need their failures and squeamish approach to bravery shared by all to fel good about themselves. But as this absurd lunacy continues - and grows - I am growing unsure of that...
